Kreg was kind enough to offer up his place and oh so willing assistance to do a little wrenching, and hammering on the new FJR. It was cold! Thanks my friend!

LOL!!! So we sold our Honda yesterday Got what we wanted for it so that's great. Got my armrests from Diamond R Friday and got them installed. They're great. Got something rigged up for my boards (passenger) so that I basically have highway pegs as a passenger. I can put my feet out to cool them off in the breeze as well as basically have more room to have different positions for my feet to help shift around as we go. So now I'm all set!!! Thanks for everyone's patience helping me figure things out, where to get stuff, etc. We went for a seven hour ride yesterday and it was AWESOME!! Beautiful weather and, now that I have all my accessories, cool feet! It was great!! My back was bugging me, too, without the armrests for support, especially in rough areas, so I'm happy now!!

Can anyone tell me the approximate size of the casstte player?? I'm going to get Quickstep to turn it into a storage area, and am going to go to the wreckers and see if something out of the dash of a car would work. But as the fairing has to be cracked open to get a look see I don't want him to do that till I've got something to fit Ta Muchly

No, not what you think. Just curious if there is a "trick" to the passenger getting off the bike without looking like they are falling off the bike. How does your passenger dismount? Keep it clean. Wally

Sunday I tried my GoPro camera on my Startoliner. I got the camera for off road use but it did well on the street as well. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGaMPMWzxSM][/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGaMPMWzxSM]YouTube- 231.AVI[/ame]

Rode about 80 miles over to Newton, MS Saturday, to the Loose Caboose Festival. It is a huge (for such a small town) block party, car and motorcycle display and lots of craft vendors. As far as I could tell there was only one RSV in the crowd, mine.

I ran across this on eBay. At least somebody can see humor in the situation and of course........make a buck on it. LOL! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300294771244&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&viewitem= Freebird.....if this falls into the debated political issues feel free to kill it.

Someone, please go buy this thing so i don't waste a weekend driving all the way to FL and towing this thing home. Please, I would really rather find a good deal local. wow, seriously, that's a great price. 1200 miles doesn't seem so far right now, and my wife would probably enjoy a few hours in the FL sun... http://www.cycletrader.com/find/listing/2003-YAMAHA-ROYAL-STAR-VENTURE-94299519

So many threads about things that have gone wrong or need fixed I thought I'd go the other way. (I do this periodically) Unlike some of you (sorry ) I have the ability to ride year around. And I tell you, this RSV is just rock solid. It always starts, it always goes, it's always smooth, it's always comfortable. It always does whatever I ask of it. It is a fantastic scoot. I just flipped 50K on it. I took one of my daughters out yesterday on a 200 mile ride pulling the trailer (I was working actually). It feels good when all you have to do is concentrate on the road and the scenery and not have to worry about your bike. Here's to you folks in the frozen parts of the Mainland to a quick spring so you can get out and ride your RSV!

Had a friend come to me and said he knew of a fellow that was trying to sell his '89 Goldwing 1500 and would I look at it, as he knew I rode bikes. So we all got together Sat. and I told him what I thought of it and he says "ya want it?". Asked what he was asking for it. He told me and said he needed the money for something else he wanted. I said sure, so now my VR has a brother to play with

Has anyone tried to hook up a Mp3 player to the existing radio on a first gen. I have a 92 model. Seems it may be a good replacement for the AWSOME casset player! ....Dave

I have to thank yamahamer for not only installing these for me, but for also taping this short clip of how they sound. I did a lot of research and ask a lot of questions on here about which pipes to get...thanks for all your help. [ame= ] [/ame] PS. I was also having a radio issue, which he also fixed.
