My 84 Venture has aquired a little quirk. As I accelerate the battery warning comes on and the warning light will flash. Run down the road a little and it will return to normal. I can not make it happen, it seems to do it intermitantly. Any ideas? -
What happen to the post of a video someone put up of truck and car crash. Went to show someone and its gone??

what would happen, if you put a longer rear shock on, say 12 inches instead of he normal 10?. Will it raise the seat height?. And if you changed the links could you lower it back down?

i was talking to a guy who had a venture and we were shooting the sh!t about pipes etc. he mentioned something about a saddlebag lid stuck closed??? he said a strap from a peice of luggage got looped around the locking mechanism and could not be opened IN ANYWAY. They cut through the side of the saddlebag to release it or something?? i guess anything could happen once, and i do not know what other methods they tried, but this sounded very bizarre to me and now i am paranoid. anyone ever heard of this??

The people in Belgium are completely insane!! But what a fun place to live! Wouldn't want to try this stunt in the U.S. though. OK I haven't seen this covered so here is my question. I was pulling into a driveway today about 35 miles from hame and went to twist on the throttle and nothing, no warning, no issues before this. It still had the return pull pul but nothing for throttle. Now has anyone had this happen and if so did the cable break or just come loose. Makes it really hard to ride without the throttle. Any help would be appreciated before I start to tear it apart. Thanks

It was sure great to see the Midnight Venture there! It might not be New but it's still cool....and had lots of lookers and setters.....I don't know what year it came back but the bright black dash sure looks good being shiny black again....when did that happen? I think Yamaha had the biggest area there too.:Venture:I was kinda hoping they'd replace the cassette with an 8 track but nooooo!

We spent Christmas on a 8 day trip to sunny FL had record temps and thought 61 was cold till we returned home to the snow. The best part was spending a family vacation with the whole family the kids being 18 and 21 I know this won't happen as often from here on out it was tuff to pull this off with everyones schedules now. Making my second trip to Illinois this year...out of nowhere the rains came down! Same thing happened in June! If only that would happen in Texas! Other than the rain, it was a great ride...hoping for an equally good ride on the way home Monday.

So SOMEHOW....Honda ended up on the top of this dealerships signage, and Yamaha is at the bottom. But the fun part is that they sell HD alongside the metrics...and I have known the occasional uninformed biker who says that can't happen.

My 1986 will burn out the tail light fuse when the handlebars are turned all the way to the right with the side stand up.It won't happen with the side stand down.Any ideas of what is happening?Thanks for any help.

To Verizon Wireless!! I switched back to using my Omnia phone last month and about had a heart attack when I got the bill, $950 dollars in usage charges all while not using it for anything internet related. Took two hours, but they did credit all of the usage charges back to me. Sometimes good things happen! :happy65:

On the MKII's trunk light, is it turned on with a mercury switch or is there a momentary switch that turns on the light when the trunk is opened? I noticed the brackets on the left hand side hinge that lead me to believe it would be a momentary switch. Would anybody happen to have an extra one they want to part with? Thanks, Bill
