Dealer suppose to have my new tires mounted by tomorrow. Whats the best method of scuffing them in a 4inch grinder with a wire brush attachment or just some sand paper.

I watched one of our mechanic's doing a plastic repair today and thought I would share it ! I have never seen it done before.....he clipped the end off a hose clamp.....heated it red hot with a torch and then embedded it into the plastic piece that was broken......see pic below. Not a repair you would do that can be seen but I'm sure someone may be able to make use of it somewhere. The picture is of a bench grinder shield arm. Keith

In the process of getting ready to adjust the valves, I find I don't have anything that will turn the crankshaft. What did anyone successfully use to turn the crank after removing the crome cover? 17mm won't go in the hole, 16 goes but won't fit the bolt. So far, I haven't found a thin wall 17mm. I've got grinder, and I'm not opposed to it, but grinding the wall of a 17 just don't seem right - somehow. tks chuck
