It appears that Wagner is temp on hold until Sept 1, for taking more orders on his Radiator Grill covers. They look great, but can't order one right now. I am NOT into chrome, but want to protect my radiator, so...I made one myself today, and it cost me less than $ 13.00, including tax. Okay, this thread is no good without pictures. Yes, I know that. My question is...other than the Wagner Grill cover, and the chrome one from Diamond, are there any other radiator grill covers out there already available for the Venture/RSTD ??? I am happy with the one I made, but want to check out others. Secondly, does anyone already make a Belly Pan for the Venture/RSTD ??? I was so used to having one on each of my last 5 Goldwings (2 1500's and 3 1800's) that I would like to put one on my RSMTD. I can see that the oil filter and engine cases could really use some protection. I did go to the extent of attempting to fabricate one for myself today, but I was not pleased with the final product. I will continue to research and fabricate, and my end prodcut will be vented via stamped louvers. So, if anyone has info on already made Belly Pans for our bikes, please let me know. Miles

Linda was on her way home from church, an suv was stopped in front of her to let another car turn. She made a complete stop - for about 2 seconds, then a 4wd pickup behind her didn't get stopped, didn't even find his brakes til impact. It appears that the damage to her vehicle is just exterior stuff, bumper, grill, core support and a few other things that I couldn't see because the hood was inoperable. The good news is that nobody was hurt, I reserve that statement because we're both 70 and tomorrow will tell the tale. There will no doubt be some whiplash effect show up tomorrow, just hoping it will be minimal and not long lasting. And how is your Sunday turning out ?

This site is costing me way more than 12 dollars a year. First thing Road king mod around a 100.00 bucks. Then aux cables for Ipod an splitter at the cassette deck 240.00 (including Ipod ). Avon tires 330.00 and now Steve Wagner grill 170.00 that's a total of :headache: 840.00 not counting what the wife has spent. But that new grill sure looks purty. But all of these new friends is priceless.

Installing a radiator cover, HELP
jarrejx posted a topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
YamaQman and I are trying to install this radiator grill on his 2001 RSV. It did not come with instructions and we are at a loss as to whether the radiator needs to be removed to complete installation. Does anyone have experience with this grill? It was purchased on ebay from autotrimdirect. Not sure how long it will take to get an answer from them. -
Does anyone have a right side dash vent off a 1st gen It's the vent right beside the speaker grill. Red arrow shows the part I need...but I only need the RIGHT side vent. Anyone???

I went to price some replacement parts for the upper right cowling on my 89 Venture Royale, YIKES! I am looking for 2 parts; 1 is the console panel that goes around the leveler, cb, speaker and air outlet part # 26h-2837m-01-00. The 2nd is the acutual grill cover that goes over the air outlet, part #26h-2837w-00-00. If anyone can help with either steering me in the right direction for finding these at a more reasonable price or has an alternative for what to do with the grill missing on the air outlet, I would be grateful. I am also missing a vent, others are broken or missing. The cost to replace what needs to be replaced is close to $600 from the Yamaha dealer. I hope this is the right place to post this and again thanks so much for your help and suggestions! Ed

Decided to replace the speakers in the '91. Got a set of 4" 3-Ways for $23.00 at Wally World. When I pulled the grills this morning and the left grill came out in pieces. I think I can get by for the time being, but I don't think this grill will last too long. Any help finding a replacement will be appreciated. Y'All Ride Safe... And have a good 4th.....

Hi folks. I'm looking for a used air control grill that goes into the left side plastic engine cover for my 86 Venture Royale. Should be the same for 86-93 I think. Not sure when it happened, but I discovered it was all cracked up inside. Some of the flaps are missing, and some are broken. Even a damaged one will do. Maybe I can make one out of two with some Plastex. I checked on Ebay, and didn't see one at the moment.

Friends, I just came back from my annual 4 day motorcycle / camping trip in the Michigan U.P. and for the second year I've used this grill. I am not affiliated with them in any way, or do I receive any compensation. I just wanted to share this product with you as it works great and packs well. I hope it's useful info to some of you campers out there. Travel safe. http://www.adjustagrill.com/

OK folks, I'm going to pull the plug on the group reservations for BBQ at the Moosehead Grill on Friday night. Eileen and I drove up there today and it's just too much trouble on top of everything else we have going on for the weekend. We have to reserve their "Party Room", pay the $100.00 rental, pay a per head price of around $16.00 per person and the "catering" menu that we have to select from is basically the same as what we have already ordered for the Saturday meal. So, basically everybody will be on their own for Friday night. If some want to go to the Moosehead, that is fine and I'm sure they can handle multiple small groups. Some of us usually go to a little place called Scoreboards in LaGrange, about 8 miles away. There is also a small Mexican Restaurant in Oberlin that is pretty darn good and also a Chinese place in the same building. So......everybody can decide where they want to go and everybody doesn't have to go to the same place. Hopefully this is OK with all of you.

Installed Show Chrome Celestar Radiator Grill Model 61-108 on my 07 RSTD Many vendors selling it list it being compatible with the Venture only. The ebay seller swore it would be the same as the RSTD – that they have the same radiator setup. Since I got a good deal (half price of new) I figured I would take a chance. Well it wasn’t exactly a direct fit, but it was doable. So I am not sure if the same minor mod is required for the Venture also or just for the RSTD - but I suspect they would have the same radiator setup. Basically though, I just had to do a fair amount of bending on the top two tabs and wallow out the bottom two tab holes a bit more. A little trial and error but got it to work. Attached are pics of what it took and the finished look. Hope it helps if anyone else tries to install one.. And now I run across this Wagner grill on the forum.. now that really looks nice.. but too late -Keith

Just out of curiosity... How many people in here might not like it if a restaurant put alcohol in or on your food without your knowledge? I know mos,t if not all the alcohol, would evaporate. But there would still be the flavor left behind. I'm just concerned about the alcoholics who might not want it. I know some who won't even have an N/A beer because there is still about .05% alcohol in it. And there is also some who feel that if they got a taste of it in their food might fear a relapse. Does anybody agree with my assumptions? The reason I ask is because a friend of mine just opened a Bar & Grill a couple weeks ago and one of the cooks insists on putting beer on the burgers and using it to saute the fried onions and such. I love beer... with my burger, but not on it. Thanks for any input, Bill

I'm working on swapping out the stock front speakers in my 07 RSV. Got my Polk DB401's and followed the instructions I found on the site to disassemble the fairing to access the speakers. Then I hit a wall. I can remove the nuts holding the speaker in place, but the inside side of each speaker is behind a metal structure keeping the speaker from sliding off the bolts (see the yellow trace in the picture). I thought maybe the speaker mounting bolts might slide out from the back of the fairing if I could get the speaker grill removed. But, after removing the only screw I could see that might hold the grill in place (the red circle in the picture), the grill would not come off. http://i41.tinypic.com/11rruy1.jpg Now, given that so much of the fairing assembly is made of less-than-tolerant plastic, I didn't want to "force" anything without getting some guidance. What's my next step? Thanks to all. -Dave

Finally finished the bike this past weekend. Took it out to work last night for its shakedown ride. Bike seems to run better and a bit more power with all that AIS crap removed and plenty more room to access stuff now. Repaired some small cracks and painted the Wagner Grill and inserts to match the bike as close as a spray can will allow. I also bought those stick on ports which I was going to apply to the air boxes, however I think they look better on the saddlebags.

Well my project is well underway of painting the RSV. All is well except for one mishap. Does anyone have a left front speaker grill that they can sell me. Mine cracked during prep for paint.
-
Just wondering what the options are for mudflaps on an RSV, especially one on the front wheel to keep rocks off the Wagner grill cover. I know about the Timberwolf flaps but there must be others that work as well. Any ideas?

If anyone remembers the Smokehouse Grill in Millbrook where we had an M&E a short time back, it burned. They had a kitchen fire that kind of took over and it took the fire dept 40 minutes to put the fire out. Too bad, they had good food and large accomodations for groups.
