First of all I have Googled for a picture of a stock TCI. What I have seen doesn't match what I found on one of my 84 parts bikes. Is this a TCI for an 84 ? Does it work on any other years ? It has the Yamaha numbers 41V-85830-00 on it. When I Googled it it shows up as an "Obsolete control unit assembly" Just wondering.

I just got off the phone with a person having an East Indian accent claiming to be from Internet Canada. They claimed that my computer may be passing and receiving Malware and wanted access to my PC to fix this. I obviously declined, and then googled the number. It appears this number 760-705-8888 has also been related to other scams such as wanting your hydro info etc. They were very persistant and they even asked me go into my computer mangement folder so I could see the errors for myself. Fortunatly I am fully aware that this file will from time to time show errors and warnings, but for someone who is not it makes the whole thing sound very legit. At which piont they offer to correct this, you need only to give them access to your PC. Needless to say I declined and strongly suggested they go fly a kite. As we were coming home the other day while still in Pa., Becky and I passed this Banana car. Didn't have the camera out, so we Googled it. So Big Tom and Muffinman, Think you can handle it ? This morning one of my Facebook friends posted that she and hubby were at Southern Thunder Harley Davidson. (He is a big time Harley rider) Not knowing where it is I "googled" it. After I picked at her about the name of the street where it is located, VENTURE Drive, she responded "LOL" and not long after that the posting disappeared! :rotf::rotf::rotf:

Let me start by saying I HATE GRAVEL. I get pretty uneasy when I have to go on gravel. Last Sunday I, along with others, pulled into a golf course in Alder Flats in Alberta. The drive enterance and lot was gravel. A thick bed of gravel with everything from fine stuff to little rocks around 1 inch. I took my time and was only doing about 10km per hour. There was a couple bikes ahead of me and one moved over in my path while in a slight left turn. No big deal as I had enough room however I touched the back brake. Because of the gravel, it didn't take much for the back wheel to lock and started to slide out to the right. I countered and then my hand hit the throttle boss. Well that bike went to the left real fast and threw me down. Broke right ankle and a cracked rib. Because of embarrasment and the adrenalyn rush, I actually got up and picked the bike up. After that, I don't think I missed out on any swear words in the adult dictionary. Anyway, the only damage is a scratched up lower cowling on the right side and could see at least one broken plastic piece where it screws onto the bike. I need a new one or at least one in very good shape as the bike is still new (crying now). As it states in my sig, the bike is a 2007, blue in color. Does anyone have one? Where can I find one? Anyone have any links? I have googled and checked ebay with no luck. Any and all help and or suggestions would be appreciated very much. Thanks P.S. This really sucks.
