On this past past Thursday, April 26th, myself and LilBeaver (Rick) rode down to Abilene Texas to check out an all female acoustic jam session at the Lucky Mule Saloon. The Rankin Twins are a duet, April and Amy, (Amy is wearing the blue top) originally from Midland but living in Austin now I believe. Pauline Reese is a tall blonde drink of water who lives on a ranch..um...somewhere in Texas. Kylie Rae Harris, the brunette, has a deep soulful voice, and to me, she sounds and looks a lot like Sheryl Crowe. These girls are talented and beautiful, and hopefully will have a great career in Texas Country Music. For those who know about this: Rick's bike seemed to run fine, no problems with the ignition as far as I know. Our ride to Abilene was pleasant and uneventful, other than a couple of idiot cagers, a few missed turns in the Abilene downtown area, a detour thru a residential area, and a little fun messing with the Patels that rented us each a room. On the way back from Abilene to Lubbock, I think about half of the Texas red dirt near the edge of the caprock ended up on our 2 bikes, since mine was no longer a Midnite Black, but more of a gritty maroon color! It was VERY windy! A great time was had by all...meaning me at least. Thanks for the ride-along Rick...

So, I get to work today and the boss say's the assistant principal called and said we have a spider in the 200's hallway. Oh yeah, I work facilities maintenance at a girls Catholic High School. The boss and my co-worker Joe go to investigate, they round the corner and there's several girls screaming and pointing , as they get nearer the girls say it's next to the pew! Joe see's the TARANTULA ! screams like a girl and runs the other way so my boss gets a box and a broom and scoops it up. I get to work at 4pm and the boss pulls the box with the spider out expecting me to back off, but I got him, I opened the box picked up the death bug thrusting it towards him as he fell over his chair trying to get away :rotfl: is what I did I had several tarantula's as pet's years ago, they don't bother me So how was your day at work?

today my great niece called and wanted to know if i wanted to go to the mall. now i know this was a trick to get a ride there. so i say sure but great uncle is broke and sure could use a nice hot dog at the mall she said sure no problem . so off i go to pick her up. now this is a 14 year old girl. so sure enough. there are 3 teenage girls waiting at grandmas thats who is raising her now. i said hey whats this? she said uh well they showed up and is it okay if they go to? there moms said its ok. so off we go these 3 teenage girls and a old goat. we get to the mall i get my hot dog and a soft drink. and just go and sit on a bench. while these girls run from every store in the place. while sitting on the bench. i hear these guys on the other bench whisper hey look at the guy with the pony tail is he a woman or a man? i got up went over and sat at the far end of there bench. looked them both in the eye and said hey how is your sex life going? they both looked at me and said why? i said well you must not be getting any. because if you cant tell the differance between a 250 pound man with a goatee and a ponytail from a woman. you just might want to go down there to the eye clinic and get your eyes checked out. one guy said well hows your sex life then? i said did you see them 3 teenage girls? they said yep sure did. i said im doing all three of there moms.( by the way im not.) but boy did the 2 men on the bench i got up from sure busted out laughing.:rotf:

just got back last night from the funeral and a small vist with 2 of my best girls my daughter Amber and Dianne. the funeral for my friends daughter went well. then some time with my girls. and i got to see a picture of dianne,s boyfriend. hansome guy can a man say another guy is hansome? any ways. he got his insurance check from his stolen items that i talked about a few post,s back. he is now going to hold onto that money and look for a venture!! see i can talk some pepole into buying one of these great bikes. i warned him about the 83 frame problems and the second gear problems. and advised him to maybe go 86 and up. so looks like next spring we may have a new member?

I had pulled my poor old 83 Venture out on this bright sunny Monday (holiday in Canada), and gave her a thorough once-over : check the plugs for sootiness/too clean, any leaks, all fluid levels, air pressures, etc. My bride offers to cut the lawn if I can watch our 2 darling girls (ages 4 & 2) for the time. I say no problem (her having cut the lawn in... ummm, never). The girls and I play happily in the back yard, when I hear a "GGggrrrrunnnch" followed quickly by a "whack". The result is posted in the picture. I believe she hit a pine cone with the lawn mowver, which promptly decided to launch it full speed with significant rotational velocity towards my bike. Ugggh. I know it need some touching up anyways, but did she have to hit the one panel that was fine ?

Well, I'm sitting at the Flying J truck stop in Fargo, ND. My wife's niece (in Moorehead, MN) is having a baby shower so I said I'd drive her up here on the bike if she wanted. So we busted butt up I-94 to Moorehead, MN. Only 250 miles from St. Paul. I dropped her off, said hi to her nieces and nephews and left the girls to be girls. So here I sit at a truck stop with wi-fi eating beef ribs. In a few hours they'll be done and I'll pick her up and hit the highway. We did see a Midnight Venture heading East on I-94 somewhere west of Alexandria, MN. That one belong to any one here?

Hi All My brother and I are taking our wives to Lancaster PA for a weekend in March. While the girls are shopping for sewing supplies my brother and I thought we would do our own kind of shopping. So we are wondering if there are any good bike accessory shops in the area???? It will be to cold for the bikes so we are taking to cars. The girls plan on filling them both up so hopefully there is room for a few bike toys. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

got home about 3 pm,6300 mls this trip,left sleeperhawk's,up thru greenville,over to chattanooga.then headed home,didn't get wet till vicksburg,then rain most of the way home ALL YOU GUY & GIRLS WERE GREAT,AND WILL BE BACK YOUR WAY right now have to get all those ducks back in a row maybe san antonio this week end
