Got a text msg. on my cell--- My entry last month has won! Tells me to go to BestBuyRaffle.com and enter my winning code number XXXX to claim my FREE $1000 BestBuy gift card within 24 hrs. Watcha think guys (and gals)? Real deal or ???? I, of course, don't remember last week, let alone last month. I went to BestBuy's web site and emailed customer service asking if it might be legit, knowing full well that there's a 99.9 % chance that it's bogus.

My birthday was a couple weeks ago and I was off on a ride in Tn. When we got home my neighbor ladies, a few houses down came to my house with a gift box. Now, I thought this was somewhat strange in itself, me being new in the neighborhood(only been here about 3 months) and that the ladies who brought me the gift box are rumored to be lesbians, I didn't think they even liked men, much less well enough to give one they hardly knew a birthday gift! Well, I opened the box and it contained a shiney new survival type watch. I was flabbergasted and surprised beyond belief. It was fantastic timepiece. My wife poked me in the rib and said"Don't you think you should say something instead of standing there dazed and confused looking"? I sort of stammered,,,, I think there has been a mistake, I mean the watch is fantastic and the generosity of you two is unbelievable but I think there has been a misunderstanding on what I said,,, I said I "Wanted to watch, not that I Wanted A watch"

Well, Sleeperhawk totally surprised me today with my Christmas present, which I never dreamed I would get to do! He got me the Nascar Racing Experience! I will get to drive an original Nascar driven by a Nascar driver of my choice, Jimmy Johnson, Jeff Gordon, etc. on a race track, the two closest to us being Darlington and Charlotte. Any recommendations on which track to do this? Sounds like a meet and eat time too when I schedule a date! I have several dates to pick from in 2012 so I will post when we go up there! Thank you, Sleeperhawk, for an incredible gift. I love you!!!

With all the intelligent people on here who posted insatallation instructions, I thank you. I feel confident to take this project on. The advise I need is Halogen or sealed beam. What is the major difference. Also, I plan on running a fuse box. If I do this, should I still use a relay. I received a gift card for christmas and plan on getting them this week, but I want to check the prices at the bike show first. Thanks to everyone who contributes and saves me money at the stealership.

For a mixture of a birthday gift and Christmas gift (a little late - but I'm not complaining) my girlfriend decided to get me a set of these (Kuryakyn longhorn offset dually iso highway pegs --- Look up Longhorn offset 7980 and they come up). Well, I was the one that surprised her when I picked up a set for my self. SO, long story short, I do not need two sets and to save on the stupid 'restocking' fees and whatever they call them I was wondering if there was anyone in here that was looking for a set. These have the 1" clamp, which is correct for the RSV. I'll post these in the classifieds in a few days (I am still waiting for the ones that she ordered to arrive. They shipped out today and when she found out I got a pair for myself it was too late to cancel the order). They will be new, in box, never opened, I'll just put them in an appropriate shipping container and send it to you if you want them. - $132.00 and I'll cover shipping (to the US - If someone from Canada is interested let me know and I can figure out how much extra it will be to ship this north of the border -- or if someone wants them and is in Vancouver, I can deliver them when I am up there in a few weeks on business). -

I dont know if I thanked Brad for my LSU hat, I was so surprised at what transpired that I forgot to thank him. So, Squidley, I thank you from the bottom of my heart, your gift and your passion for St. Jude touched me to the core, I will never forget what you did for me and the kids at St. Jude. My Friend, and I say that with great pride, you are the best of the best. I also want to thank all the VR members who donated when the hat was passed and for signing the gift. When I set out for MD at Don's, my only quest was to find the Gift. I started asking as soon as I got there, but nobody seemed to know who had it or where it was, I was later to find out why I couldnt locate it on my first day there, the person who shall go un-named, forgot it and had to have it overnighted to Don's so I could receive it........... I just want to thank Squidley and everyone who participated in the Gift project, because unbeknownst to me it was more that just a Gift and a tease to keep me searching for it, and those that participated know what it was. For those of you who dont, I will give a brief explanation and then some pictures of the Gift. Since I didnt show up at the Tattooing of Sleeperhawk's Mechanic and Squidley, they decided to pass the hat around, literally to travel to different rallies and M&E till I caught up with it, when it was passed it was for donations to St.Jude Children's Hospital and those that made a donation got to sign the hat. I was in the dark about this. I dont know how many signatures are on the hat, but there are plenty..........and Squidley kept me squirming till the very end. I just want to thank each and every person who donated and signed my gift, I will treasure it for the rest of my life and it will have a special place in my heart and home...........THANK YOU VENTURERIDERS.

Sure hope that mystery gift from Squidley will be there, I have been waiting patiently to receive it, I think. Does anybody know who has it and if they are coming.

OK Folks, We haven't had a good practical type joke in a while....so I'll be the typical culprit and start this one. As many of you know this last weekend down in NC Bobbie (Sleeperhawks Mechanic) and I got our inking done for the St. Judes Donation drive we had. Lonna and I drove the wagon down to NC as the weather wasn't going to permit the bike. We stopped for fuel and I found a "Gift" for Lewis. I thought he might be showing up and I was going to give it to him there....we'll he couldn't make it ....but the "Gift" was still in NC. So now what I'll tell you all what, a bit of an enigma for Lewis. Lewis now has to catch up with his "Gift" as it is now starting a trek of sorts around the country. You see, this "Gift" will be continually changing hands at M&E and such. The person that travels the farthest, on 2 or 4 wheels will take the gift with them to their home. Only to take it to the next M&E they go to where it will then continue on, until Lewis is at one of the M&E's that it makes it to. I also want to add that this is strictly voluntary for folks to participate in. If you dont want the responsibility of having it, then please dont take it. This is all in fun and I dont want this to be a burden on anyone. I wont devulge what the "Gift" is, but I can guarantee you that he will love it. Now what I want to do is let everyone, including Lewis know who has the "Gift" David Duquette AKA Riderduke has it in his posession in Virginia. The next M&E Dave gets to is where the "Gift" will be. When the "Gift" changes hands, either the person that handed it off or the recipient will then post in this thread who has it and where it's located. So now all the pressure is on you Lewis, you have to hunt down your "Gift" and nobody is to tell you what it is. You'll just have to go get it to find out....happy hunting my friend

I'm setting on a new leather computer chair and the silver beast has a new GPS waiting to be installed...It was a great CHRISTMAS......now i'll be able to find my way back home after those "mystery rides".....

Ok Riderduke posted a M&E in VA on the 6th of Dec. We need someone to ride in a car from somewhere farther then SC. Gotta get someone from up North preferably. Since whoever comes the farthest gets to take dragonriders gift with them. So come on folks someone in PA maybe or Maryland would be good. Maybe even a WV person could make it. Has anyone ever been to a bike show where plaques are given for best of show,1st,2nd,and 3rd at a dealership where 1st 2nd and 3rd get gift cards for a certain denomination and best of show gets the same plaque just says best of show and no gift card? Wondering if your thoughts are like mine ( dealer knows the winner and had some differences on the way they do bus. ) I'm thinking the dealer doesn't want the winners bus.

Since we have been joking about Squidley and Sledgehammer getting a tattoo and raising money for St Judes. I have been looking over the web site for St Judes. They have patches that anyone might want to order for their vests. I thought they are nice and show that I support what St Judes stands for.
