GERMAN Train Set This is the world's biggest train set, which covers 1,150 square meters (12,380 square feet), features almost six miles of track and is still not complete Twin brothers Frederick and Gerrit Braun, 41, began work on the 'Miniatur Wonderland' in 2000 The set covers six regions including America, Switzerland, Scandinavia, Germany, and the Austrian Alps The American section features giant models of the Rocky Mountains, Everglades, Grand Canyon... ..and Mount Rushmore The Swiss section has a mini-Matterhorn The Scandinavian part has a 4ft long passenger ship floating in a 'fjord' It is expected to be finished in 2014, when the train set will cover more than 1,800 square meters (19, 376 sq ft)and feature almost 13 miles of track, by which time detailed models of parts of France, Italy and the UK will have been added It comprises 700 trains with more than 10,000 carriages and wagons The longest train is 46ft long The scenery includes 900 signals, 2,800 buildings, 4,000 cars - many with illuminated headlights... ..and 160,000 individually designed figures Thousands of kilograms of steel and wood was used to construct the scenery... An old German Shepherd starts chasing rabbits and before long, discovers that he's lost. Wandering about, he notices a panther heading rapidly in his direction with the intention of having lunch. The old German Shepherd thinks, "Oh, oh! I'm in deep trouble now!" Noticing some bones on the ground close by, he immediately settles down to chew on the bones with his back to the approaching cat. Just as the panther is about to leap, the old German Shepherd exclaims loudly, "Boy, that was one delicious panther! I wonder, if there are any more around here?" Hearing this, the young panther halts his attack in mid-strike, a look of terror comes over him and he slinks away into the trees. "Whew!," says the panther, "That was close! That old German Shepherd nearly had me!" Meanwhile, a squirrel who had been watching the whole scene from a nearby tree, figures he can put this knowledge to good use and trade it for protection from the panther. So, off he goes. The squirrel soon catches up with the panther, spills the beans and strikes a deal for himself with the panther. The young panther is furious at being made a fool of and says, "Here, squirrel, hop on my back and see what's going to happen to that conniving canine!" Now, the old German Shepherd sees the panther coming with the squirrel on his back and thinks, "What am I going to do now?," but instead of running, the dog sits down with his back to his attackers, pretending he hasn't seen them yet, and just when they get close enough to hear, the old German Shepherd says... "Where's that squirrel? I sent him off an hour ago to bring me another panther!" Moral of this story... Don't mess with the old dogs... Age and skill will always overcome youth and treachery! Blarney and brilliance only come with age and experience.

Someone in the chatroom asked this question and wasn't able to figure out how to post (English not being his first language) so I'm offering to give a hand since I can't find an answer already posted on the forum. I figured this info might be useful in the future to others who came across similar issues in Europe. Are the mufflers for a venture royale XVZ13DA (1990); are the original mufflers available in the U.S.? what mufflers did you mount. the JAMA-mufflers are not available any longer I contacted the producer laserexhaust in the netherlands and was told they don't produce them anymore. He says they must be TUV tested per the german regulations on vehicles. K, Thanx Kat -
Hi, I've been in Switzerland for 3 weeks and found a German equivilent to the International Motorcycle Show in Friedrichshafen just across Lake Constance from where I'm at in Rorschach. It was held in the Zepplin Exhibit and manufacturing plant. So I went and had good fun. All the usual type vendors, Manufacturers, and even some indoor Motosport and Trials riding exhibitions. Talk to a guy at the Yamaha exhibit, haltingly...my german sucks and his english was marginal, and he said they do not sell RSV's in Germany, guess you have to import. I showed my wall paper I keep on the cell phone of the wife and I cruisin along on the '05 Silver dream. I found a Venture Royale and took a pic. These are hardy souls that came to this event .....it is about 38 degrees. The pic looking down the bikes......well thats a pond....and it's frozen solid. The worlds biggest bike was a trip, too. This is a puppy my son found. We are trying to figure out what he is...we are thinking German Shepherd...any other ideas? Appreciate your input. We will find out for sure in the next day or so when we take him to the vet.

Breaking records for warm WX this time of the Winter Season in Louisville KY. The wife and I rode about 100 miles yesterday. Found a new German Cusine Restaurant and had lunch. (Love German Food, spent 5 years over there) Waved at LOTS of bikers. Was glad to see their bikes weren't put away either. My '08 RSV is just a little tall in the seat for my 29 inch inseam, but I love it anyway. I just have to be careful when I'm walking it on my tiptoes during parking. We rode South on highway 31W for about 50 miles to Elizabethtown KY to a "Peddlars Mall" that had leathers, but none would fit us just right. But we had a good time and that's what is important. At age 65 I have finally figured out that there is NEVER an end to the list of things that need doing. Therefore, I now make some time every day to have some fun. Keep Safe Everyone!
