Looking at some new needle sets and was surprised at the price difference between genuine parts (like $42) versus aftermarket($17). Any thoughts on the use of one vs the other in engine parts like needle sets?

SO, have been shopping and in Canada, the dealers what a TON of $$$'s for these. Any suggestion on an online US place to buy and ship from? Is there a difference from the Yamaha Genuine accessory to the aftermarket knock-offs? Any help would be great. Need to complete the "chrome treatments" of the '05. Thanks

Need a few things like several gaskets, air & fuel filters, etc. Local dealer wants full MSRP and states they won't match prices. Any good on-line sources for discounts on genuine Yamaha parts?

I just had to brag about an EBAY seller - Alecks Power Sports Of Erie - They had a set of genuine Yamaha Driving Lights listed with a BIN of $219. + shipping. I bought the set and paid for them on Monday afternoon and by Tuesday afternoon the package was sitting on my porch. Tuesday evening I had them mounted and today I took the fairing back off and installed a 12v relay and a switch. If anybody is looking for driving lights, you might want to give Alecks Power Sports a call @ 814-833-4948. My hat's off to their pricing and their FAST shipping BTW - included in the kit was a set of spacers that allows the lights to be loosened enough to get the fairing off without taking the lights all the way off.

Wayne and I thank all of our Venture family who made the ride to St. Jude's! Our hearts and prayers went with you, and we are so glad to hear that all went well. Great job! Brandy and Wayne

He was in our little Town at Walmart as a promotion for his new work clothing line, then off to the Kentucky Fair for a few days. Seemed like a really genuine and nice fella! Hey wait is that Stratcat or Mariner Fan..... http://a234.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/122/l_14df0012e11f3b2a8a4b954571ab4ba1.jpg

Greetings all. I've been sending emails to Flatout Motorcycles in Indianapolis, Indiana but getting no response. I tried to ring them once, but it was too late in the night here in Australia to wait around for them to open up in their morning. I want to know if they have a 2008 rear shock for a 2004 RSV that I can buy from them through their website. You may know from other posts of mine that my shock crapped itself, and after shopping around I've settled on a genuine CURRENT model replacement. A fellow Aussie member lockdoc said he bought a 2005 one from Flatout for his 2004, and It's been suggested to me that I go for a 2008 model unit due to apparently better modifications. Now, herein lies my problem. THEY WON'T TALK TO ME! Is there somebody on this forum who lives nearby to flatout who can give them a ring on 317-890-9110 and ask them to respond to my emails, or email me so I know we're talking? If whoever is in a position to do so would like to PM me, I'll supply my email address for relaying to them. Sorry to be so long-winded, but I'm in a bit of a rut. Needless to say I can land a genuine unit in Australia from America, far cheaper than I can buy it here at home. Crazy, but true.
