Just wanted to share this link & seller with the forum. I just picked up a pair of Gel cushions for my 1st Gen from this guy. http://myworld.ebay.com/ldavis1231?_trksid=p2047675.l2559 Oh is my butt happy! This guy shipped them out next day. The usually go for $99.50 but he had them on sale for $84.58. When I leave feedback I'm going to mention Ventur Riders to him so maybe he would extend the sale to anyone from here as well.

http://www.coolwingrider.com/ OK I got my cooling vests in and tried them yesterday,102 degrees F , FANTASTIC but a little pricey,BUT worth it if you want to stay COOL AND DRY!!! I bought the 2 up special which includes 2 Vests and a set of cooling bags or whatever they are called PLUS they come with an additional set(2) that can be put in the cooler bag to change out later in the day. The thing I was afraid of is that the cooling gel packs would not do as they say BUT they do! In 20 minutes the gel packs are frozen in ice water,(It only takes 65 degrees water to refreeze)they say it will do it in a cooler with just ice,I dont know but I suspect it will. Now the cooler doesnt need to be that big, just a 6 pack cooler that fits on a luggage rack is good enough. The gel pacts DO NOT burn your skin even if placed against your skin in a frozen state..I dont know how..The best part of this whole thing is you stay TOTALLY DRY. TOTALLY!!!!! I felt like I was riding at 65-70 degrees for 2 hours then I changed them out, remember they recharge in 20 minutes. Quality is fantastic and IF ever the Gel bags break they are lifetime replacement. These folks have a 90 day return policy no questions ask if you do not like them for ANY reason, you just have to pay the freight back. This is my review,I am in no way affiliated with these folks,I just want to share what I think is the best of the best! Tom

Hi guys, Just wondering if anyone on here has tried the MegaMax gel battery that is for sale on E Bay? It's advertised as direct fit for the first gen which sounds good but I'm just wondering if it's worth saving the $35 or so as compared to the Odyssey PC 680. Any insight you gentlemen have is greatly appreciated. I'm kind of a newbie to the first gen so go easy on me please. Thanks Big Mark

What battery is everyone using? My original only lasted 1 1/2 years. I replaced it (in an emergency from the local parts store) with an Interstate, and this one only lasted 1 1/2 years. I know batteries do not last forever, but I normally get at least 5-6 years on my other bikes. What is everyone using? Original? Yuasa? Gel? Now with snow still outside I have planty of time to make a better choice.

I'm thinking about this: http://www.saddlemen.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=169_236&products_id=4505 for my navigator. Any thoughts on this or other gel pads around $100?

Somewhere there is a thread explaining / showing how to modify the stock RSV seat to reduce pressure on the tailbone. Seems I recall a gel pak involved. anyone have a link for this thread? I forgot who did it and can't seem to find it.

If anyone that has a Corbin Seat and waiting for it to "Break In" well mine hasnt in the 5 years Ive had it . I found at Wal Mart yesterday a Gel seat pad with a waterproof fabric on the outside cover for only $19.00 It fits perfect on the seat and the "Waffle" design of the gel inside is very comfortable...I think I have found my cheaper alternative to the ones offered on most MC accessory sites. The wrapping on the pad says RelaXzen Gel Seat Cushion. It is in the Automotive section but I cant find any Info on the internet about it. Usually these things are an item Walmart will bulk buy on then htey are gone FYI. Tom
