Hopefully this question won't portray me as a total idiot but having had only small cruisers and sport bikes, I really don't know if it is safe to wash my new 2008 Venture with all the gadgets, speakers, and electronics. I have just been wiping it down with a wet clothe but it really needs a good washing. Can anybody offer tips or am I just being a worrywort?

O.K., so I've been trying to make sense of the specs on the GPS units I've been researching and one thing keeps escaping me......how do you guys hear them on the motorcycle? I'll like my gadgets, but I'm sometimes technically challenged. Is there anything out there with just a simple headphone jack?

:sign **** happens: Any one have a long haul first gen specific toolkit that has proved to be adequate over the years and I dont need to pull a trailer for? Have the original factory kit but wish to supplement. Anyone filled a tire from an engine cylinder after plugging, or what works best? Canned air maybe? Any new multi purpose tools, gadgets carried for the dreaded event? Any specific electrical items other than the standard spare wire, connectors, tape, maybe multi meter etc carried? I know, I know I worry too much! Just humor me please.
