My name is William Little, "WildBill1", and I want to extend a word of thanks to all the members on this site and how fortunate it is to be a part of such a talented and innovative group of people. Matt Strickland, "Foyerboy" gave me the opportunity to work on his 99 RSV recently--- without the vast amount of information from this site its doubtful this task could have been completed. I want to especially thank Kent, "V7Goose" for all his excellent Tech Threads and bike knowledge he so freely passes on to us. Thanks John, "Jlh3rd" for having the courage too toss that lame cassette player and replace it with useful gauges. David, "Ponch" you inspired us even more by flush mounting them with even more options. We miss you, "Ponch" hope your recovery is going good. Thanks to Don, "Freebird" for all the countless hours you must put into this site too keep it going and us happy.

I recently put on Roto Covers. Its a long story but here is my issue. With both brake calipars off and the Roto Covers installed and the Axle bolt tighten to 75 Ft Lbs, the front wheel spins freely. The wheel goes around several times with a decent spin of the wheel. On by adding just the left calipars on, the wheel might spin maybe 1/2 turn. With both calipars on the wheel spon about 1/3 of a turn. I thought I would go for a ride and do the same spin test. It now spins about 3/4 of a turn. How freely does your front wheel spin? Any suggestion as to how I might make mine spin more freely.

86VR, was running rough on acceleration, took carbs off, professionally cleaned, new gaskets, I installed new diaphrams, replaced a frayed cable. Acceleration problem solved. Engine runs very good! Engine idles very smooth. The problem now is that the engine doesn't come down off revs fast enough. This creates obvious problems when shifting and coming to a stop. The throttle grip moves freely, it springs back nicely; but the engine stays reving for 3-5 seconds falling down very slowly until it reaches about 2000rpm where upon it quickly falls to idle like it should. I've checked that everything is property seated. All hoses and caps are good, properly attached. I've check for air leaks around the boots and the airbox. I've triple checked the junction box, cables moving freely. I've moved cable adjustments to each extreme and back. Is this just need of a carb tune? HELP!
