No it wasn't a deer.... We've been in this house for over 40 years, and this morning when I get up around 5:30am I look out the dining room door and see something curled up on the mat. Generally it's one of the cats. Looked closer and the cats don't have snouts. Thought it might be a stray dog. Walked over toward the door and it gets up and starts to walk away. It's got a big long bushy tail. Not a dog...it's a fox!! I've seen a lot of animals around here over the years since we live close to a river and a wildlife center, but this is the first and only time I've ever seen a fox, and it acted like one of the family.... Intertaining to say the least.....

I had my dogs in the back fenced yard and they went ballistic. I looked out and there was a fox stumbling around outside the fence. Obviously it was rabbid which we have had much of in my part of the county this last year. I grabbed the nearest firearm which happened to be my Colt Diamondback that I used to carry as a deputy. At 45-50 feet with one round the fox was "grave yard dead". I haven't fired this particular gun in near thirty years but I keep it loaded just the same. Now I will have to clean it for the next thirty years.

I took the Brown fox for an Autumn ride today Ii got about 12 miles from home when I notice a cloud following me. I pull off the road and the fox is smoking like crazy. i shut her off and climb off to see oil dripping out of the(I think) tranny case rather quickly. Its running down onto the collector box and onto the ground. I shut the engine off and the oil stream slows an stops. I start the engine and it starts to flow again. I call a tow truck and take it home. The questions i have: 1.) is there a drain plug on the bottom of the tranmission and could it have worked loose. If not, outside of a possible cracked engine case what else could have caused this leak. To actually be able to see the underside of the engine i'll have to pull the collector box. before i do i need to know if its worth it and what i might find under there. Special note: For the last few weeks the engine started making an internal rattling noise while idling on the side stand.. If its not fixable then I'll either start piecing it out or sell it outright for parts. but before i do that I hope to know if its salvage able. Please help guys and gals. -

just downloaded Chrome , and it is fast , i like it ! been playing with it tonite and it is the only browser that resize this site so i don't have to move back and forth to read . it also works better on NBC and FOX but ABC don't like it yet , it is faster and eazyer to use than Firefox . has anybody tried it yet ? Thom
