Workin on an 86 Venture, installed new diaphrams in the spring. 2 were in pretty bad-shape, cleaned the insides as best I could and installed new o-rings when checking the floats and needles. Does anyone have a list of the o-rings/seals and gaskets needed to properly tear down and rebuild the carb's? I plan to reuse the diaphams, (thanks Skydoc for sending the good sliders) and have resigned myself to taking them off and starting over. My fuel mileage went from 220-240 km's per tank, to less than 150. Also, seems to be fouling the rh rear carb quite a bit. I've turned the mixture back a half turn a couple times, and it seems to help the plug, but it's become a lazy pig again. Please help me getting the WINBGO back running her best. Thanks all.....

MisADVenture HELP!! My Dads Venture is fouling the plug on the right rear cylinder.. Were thinking it could be a carberation problem or a valve way out of adjustment.. its getting spark.. any Ideas? Also he is asking me to look for info on a Vmax motor swap.. PM me links if you can help!! Will entertain offers on the bike if anyone is interested, with so many mods and hours in this bike its a shame to let it sit for long.. Thanks!, Riceburner (aka David) I know I dont post here much.. Hello all, Wow, these bikes are amazing, they run so well on 3 cylinders, you hardly know one is fouled. It seems that I keep fouling one of my plugs, when I take it out it is wet, then I put a new one in and it runs real well for a while. I have gotten pretty good at touching the exhaust pipes shortly after start up to see if they are all warm. So what is the most likely source of this fouling do you think? D

Well it started out with a plug fouling (right front). I had been messing with the carbs and after the fouling happened, re-synched them( of course they were off). Figured that was the problem. Put in a new plug and off I went. Happened again. Being on the highway helped keep it clean, but definitely not running great. I figure it's one of two things, a carb problem or a firing problem. The coil and plug wire are easier to check. Plug cap came back within tolerances, primary coil readings were ok but definitely on the high side. Didn't get a needle quiver for the secondary (not looking at the manual, not sure if that's the correct name) test. So I am going to assume that it is the coil or possibly the wire. Anyone else have any thought on this?
