I've seen a few references to footboards and/or extended controls, etc. but most of these end in an old link to eBay or an offer to sell some long gone. Does anyone have any currently or know of details to fab whatever is required?

Has anyone successfully managed to lower the front footpegs on a 1st Gen. I am 6ft tall with a 33" inseam. The bike, despite its bulk, is cramped. Even with the pegs adjusted as far back as they will go there still isn't room for me to fit the two front pockets without my knees catching them. For the first 500 miles this isn't much of an issue. After that, up to around 1000 miles I start getting cramp in my knees and pelvis. This can be alleviated some by a combination of shifting my feet onto the highway pegs, or riding with just my toes on the riders pegs. Standing on the pegs helps too, but the wind blast is no fun! So I am thinking that "unbending" the knees a bit would actually help quite a lot. That could be done by raising the seat, or lowering the footpegs. I can deal with the seat but was wondering if anyone had managed to drop the pegs by about an inch.

Was wondering if any of you have this issue... I reviewed the site earlier this year as I wanted to get highway pegs. Lots of good talk on the Kuryakyn Longhorn footpegs, so I bought them. They work great, offer several foot positions and work well with the Yamaha air deflectors I added. Question is... if put good pressure on them (say... push myself back in the saddle) I can see/feel the engine guards flexing. As a result, I don't do that, however was wondering if others have the same issue? The engine guards seem to have a surprising amount of flex in them. I can get them to flex simply by grabbing on and pulling on them. I checked the bolts and they're tight. Just curious to others experiences. My RSTD was similiar. Thanks in advance for your thoughts. Because our bikes have wierd footpeg mounts. has anyone found any aftermarket footpegs that can be disassembled and mounted in our existing footpeg mounts? Mine are getting ragged looking and I'd love some of those shiny chrome and O-ring looking ones that all the hardley rides get to dress their bikes with.

rode my new wing over 300 miles today and these darn footpegs are dealing me a fit. they are exactly in the position where i have to put mt feet down when i stop, and they really stick out there. having one heck of a time timing putting my feet down and stopping. it is really getting frustrating. i almost feel like a newby rider. it is worst then my rstd was at low speeds. other than that it is awesome. any of you goldwing boys got any ideas? bill:2133:

I put some footpegs on the crash guards on my 84 but I can't get them into the right angle. They work the way they are but could be more comfortable. Do any of you know where a guy can get some beveled washers so I can shim them to the right angle? Or does anyone know another good way to get them to the right angle? They need to move a good 20* +/- a couple.
