Bob Dylon, who back in the 60's wanted nothing to do with Vietnam, just performed a concert over there. Better late than never I guess..... Or maybe he is just trying to figure out where all the flowers have gone.

Well, 2011 started out great this morning. I woke up.. Rolled over and put my feet on the floor. No organ music and no flowers. What more could one ask for? Happy New Year to one and all and I hope your new year kicked off the same.

We just made it home..I kept in touch with Larry and guys I am glad they are OK..He was only 15 miles from the house when it happened..So glad they are OK and NO the Dog was not on board! Also..I will let others let ya know about the trip but all I can say is WOW!!! The Amarillo Tx bunch made there first meet..I think they were not expecting all of what went on...For those that missed it..well it was a success!Pictures will follow by the other members but we saw the most magnificent array of flowers that can be imagined..Imagine a Sea of Purple..literally 100s of acres solid purple with cactus rising from it all with dashes of yellow flowers mixed in...Mind boggling. Hope everyone makes it home OK..We are home! http://www.facebook.com/#!/album.php?aid=2045567&id=1073186456 I think this link will give a few more pictures from a good friend of mine

I don't know how many of you knew Colin - he started the UK Venture Club and was active in touring with the motor touring club europe (MTCE). I didn't know, but was just looking up the shop phone number for a UK member. This is the news report: http://www.kentonline.co.uk/kentonline/news/2009/september/23/three_kent_bikers_killed.aspx He wasalways very welcoming in the shop and it was only a few weeks ago I dropped by with a pack of biscuits to tell him about the carb diaphragm replacements I had fitted. He was looking forward to his next tour. just doesn't seem possible. I've just lifted this info from the UK site:

Hi All The bike is spring prepped, the weather is getting nice, and I just finished putting together a Piggy Backer XL - now I need somewhere to go?? Living in the Toronto Ontario area, I thought about exploring a little more of NY State, I have travelled through many times but never really stopped long enough to smell the flowers. I was thinking perhaps setting up camp in a nice State Park then doing some short road trips over the next couple of days. Any suggestions?? All welcome & encouraged!! Thanks, Ron
