Came out today that once again Flint Michigan is the most violent City is the USA. We fell to number 3 last year after holding the #1 ranking for the two years before, but took the #1 spot back by a wide margin over #2 Detroit. It really isn't funny, it has got so bad around here. My Daughter was begging me the other night to move away from here, she said even if we can't move South she wants away from Flint. Two of her friends (14 yr old) were jumped walking home from the bus stop last week. Doesn't matter day or night the thugs have no fear anymore. OK enough whining, back to my corner.

Flint dropped to #3 last year but with a record number of murders and violent crimes last year we are back to #1 most violent city in the USA. And at the rate Flint is going this year Flint will shatter last years murder rate. Last year at this time there were only 9 murders for a total of 65 for the year. So far there has been 34 and that is only in the city limits. Add Flint township and it goes way up. There is only 102.000 people in Flint. The top 5 for violent crime is Flint, Detroit, St. Louis, New Haven, Conn. and Memphis, Tenn. New stat just came out, Flint #1 in arson's per capita, more then twice as many as #2 Toledo OH. Also #1 in crime increase. Well enough whining, some day I'm going to get out of here and make it to Lake Guntersville.

Starts out with the line up of bikes at the Harley dealer for the escorted ride downtown on Friday then shows the downtown Friday night and Saturday. Turn up the Volume and enjoy. Whats a Crime Advisory ? Watching the news right now and first they talk about the 8th murder in 3 days in Flint. Then they talk about the 14 year old that broke into a house and shot and killed a 74 year old women in the back and robbed her. Then the Mayor comes on and says they are laying off 25 MORE Police Officers so they are issuing a "Crime Advisory" for areas of the City of Flint. What do you do during a "Crime Advisory", Lock yourself inside and hide under the bed with a gun? Does a map pop up in the lower corner of the TV with little red flashing spots saying "Crime Advisory" please arm yourself and take cover? Maybe we won't need Police anymore if we have "Crime Advisories". What will they think of next. I gotta get out of here.

Ok , Guys. n Gals. It was a pretty cool event so here is my photos. this was the first time to this one and thanks to karl for tipping me off about it. Even thou it was a very cool morning and an hour and half up to flint from Lincoln Park. The one thing Flint does right is it's "Back To The Bricks" car show. It started today and goes on thru Sunday. 20,000 cars last year. It is well done and the rolling cruise every night goes from Flint to Grand Blanc so there are plenty of places to park and see the cars. Saturday they are at the Sloan museum during the day. Leaving at 8:00am this morning for a ride around Lake Superior. 1900 miles. Have put 2500 miles on so far this year since I got it running. Think I covered everything. Flint to Marathon Ontario. Marathon to Bayfield Wi. Bayfield to Marquette Mi. Marquette to Flint. Staying as close to shore line as roads will let us.
