Was having breakfast and just gazing out the window at the deer. An Osprey (Fish Hawk) came into sight and circled in front of the house then swooped down and caught a fish. An eagle came down and attacked trying to get the fish. The aerial dogfight went on for 2-3 minutes before the Osprey made his escape, still with the fish.

A redneck with a bucket full of live fish was approached recently by a game warden in Central Mississippi as he started to drive his boat away from a lake. The game warden asked the man, "May I see your fishing license please?" "Naw, sir," replied the redneck. "I don't need none of them there papers. These here are my pet fish." "Pet fish??" "Yep. Once a week, I bring these here fish o'mine down to the lake and let 'em swim 'round for a while. Then when I whistle, they swim right back into my net and I take 'em home." "What a line of horse sh-t....you're under arrest." The redneck said, "It's the truth, Mr. Gov'ment Man. I'll show ya! We do this all the time!!" "WE do, now, do WE?" smirked the warden. "PROVE it!" The redneck released the fish into the lake and stood and waited. After a few minutes, the warden said, "Well?" "Well, WHUT?" said the redneck. The warden asked, "When are you going to call them back?" "Call who back?" "The FISH," replied the warden! "Whut fish?" asked the redneck.

A certain fellow left his key/headlight on while we where stuffing our self's with fish. Man that fish was good .... And so was the big laugh we all had afterwards, it was not so much as what happened, but at what was said in the crowd that was willing to help push and give jumps from a Harley Road King... Sorry, but can not help it.

Ya that's right...I met up with Charlie and Evan at Evans cottage the other day for a fish fry. I was amazed at Charlie's cooking as it was the best fish I have ever eaten. He has my vote as Ontario's Northern Iron Chef. These are 2 great guy's and the weather for eating dinner outside at the lake was perfect; but Charlie's fish stories...now that's something else.

Subject: Comorants - Send to all of your fishing buddies that fish (and own shotguns) If some ******* tree-hugger tries to tell you that Cormorants don't eat game fish, check out these pictures and think again. The Double-Crested Cormorant, an excellent reason to keep a loaded 12 gauge in your boat.

(50 miles South of Yorkton ) saw a ball bouncing around kind of strangely in the lake and went to investigate. It turned out to be a flathead catfish who Had obviously tried to swallow a basketball which became stuck in its mouth!! The fish was totally exhausted from trying to dive, but unable to because the ball would always bring him back up to the surface. The guy tried numerous times to get the ball out, but was unsuccessful. He finally had his wife cut the ball in order to deflate it and release the hungry catfish. You probably wouldn't have believed this, if you hadn't seen the following pictures... Be kinder than necessary. 'Cause everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Well some of you know that my wife and I spent a bit of time getting our scuba open water certifications. The classes were fun, but a lot of work. we completed our open water (meaning we can dive up to 130 feet deep) about 3 weeks ago. We went on our first real dives week before last on vacation. What a thrill. We took 4 dives from a boat and one shore dive over a three day period. The fish and coral we saw were amazing - sea turtles, moray eels, zebra eels, star fish, sharks, and more fish than I could name. One of the real thrills was petting and holding an octopus. The dive master signaled for us to sit still a minute and he swam away about 15 feet and came back with an octopus with a head about the size of a dinner plate. Got to hold it. Absolutely amazing. It was incredible being 90 feet below the surface and able to see 200 feet away with perfect clarity. I cannot wait to get underwater again!

Try your hand at this fishing game. Read the instructions (below) first. You will see the fish swimming in the lake. Click on the place in the Lake you want the man to cast his line. Remember the fish are swimming and if you click on the fish by the time he casts his line the fish will have moved beyond that point. So click on a spot ahead of the fish where you think the fish will be after the line has been cast. This is for all of you great outdoors men who love to fish, but don't want to drive to the lake...so, good luck, and no lies!!!...and turn up your volume. Note: There is a tackle box nearby, want a different lure? Just click on it! Kenai River Run http://www.peninsulaclarion.com/kenairiverrun/kenairiverrun.html

Now I mean to tell you that I'm a fisherman, but this summer I've been riding, not fishing, so tonight when I went to make a batch of fish chowder, I used some catfish chunks. GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ruined it. Normally I'd use Walleye, Sauger or Bluegill. I"ll never do that again. Steve (I'll have to take it to my starving student son in college.
