Several years ago my CB antenna snapped off my 06 RSV as I understand has happened to most RSV owners. I understand that the Yamaha antenna has 8m stud and most available antennas have 3/8" stud. I read somewhere that Firestik made a adaptor for this, model K-1A8M. I cannot find any mention of it on their website or anyone that sells it. Sierra Electronics makes an adaptor for Harley, but nothing for Yamaha. Could I buy a standard 3/8" fold over adaptor and rethread the male end to 8m x 1.25 and make this work with a Firestik Firefly antenna?

I am installing the firestik firefly 3foot antennas in place of the stock ones. After searching the other antenna related threads, I have a question: Instead of replacing all the wiring and the antenna mounts, Is it possible to just drill out the antenna mount and rethread it to the correct thread to match the antenna and just screw the firestik into the mount? I'd do this on both sides. Then just have the CB antenna tuned to the system. I already bought all the components to change everything over. But if it is possible then maybe it could save someone else some money. Thanks in advance

I just got a 99 RSV coming from a Kawasaki voyager. really like the bike so far. Now to my ?? The bike has 4' K40s on the bike now. I want to know if I can just swap them out and put on the Firestik 3' fireflys and a 3' firestik amfm3 for the radio. The antennas are working fine only to tall for the garage so I wanted something shorter, plus I like the look of a shorter antenna. Can I just unscrew the K40s from the Valor fold overs and install the firestiks?

My CB antenna is broke. I am thinking about replacing it w/ the Firestik Firefly FL3. Can I use the same FL3 to replace the radio antenna?

Giving mad props to my home slice Bummer. He's good peeps. Ok now that I got that out.... I want to thank Bummer for helping this past weekend with getting the SWR adjusted on my firestik cb antenna and also for the connector on the firestik am/fm antenna. I was amazed at how easy it is to adjust the swr. Time consuming (especially if you mount the rubber ring on the underside of the antenna bracket ), but easy. Hopefully will be able to pay it forward to someone else soon. Heard some interesting stuff on the cb on the way to work this morning. Guy not happy about a Hopper not being cleaned out apparently. Oh yeah and like you suggested I did call diamondr. Patti said she will check the shop for an extra pin. They did have one and is sending it to me. Jerry.

Hi, I just installed a Wilson Flex 3' antenna and want a fold-down mount so I can cover the bike. I've read some posts here about this, one of which said the 203EZ mount was too sloppy; Hugbare said some are, some aren't. I took my chances and ordered one with the antenna. It's junk. It looks nice, but allows the tip of the antenna to wiggle around about 2". I've only found a couple alternatives: - There is a similar looking unit called an AUFO - Accessories Unlimited Fold Over. Do any of you know if it's just the same junk part in different packaging from a different distributor? - The Firestik DV series mounts (with the wingnut) are my second choice, but it seems that Firestik is discontinuing at least some of them. The DV-SBS with the spring seems to still be available, but I didn't really want a spring. I guess it would be OK. DV-90 or DV-SB would be preferred. Do any of you have a source, or have one you want to sell? - Is there any other fold-down mount out there that I'm not finding? Thanks, Jeremy
