Hey guys and gals, Back in May Wanderer created and posted this cool theme for the top of Firefox or Explorer. I had an (unrelated) issue with my Firefox and lost it yesterday. Finally after searching and searching I found the link: I have always loved turning on my Firefox and having a 1st Gen on my upper right screen. http://gallery.brandthunder.com/en-US/theme/436aaee9-b06e-45a6-bae6-1996dee6fd1f Original Thread: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/archive/index.php/t-69723.html

I just noticed a new piece of bling...the open contacts popup link...having no idea what it is but willing to try it anyway, I clicked it and it said that Firefox prevented it from opening. Hmmm...I wonder what this is?

Getting in touch with my creative side. I used Brand Thunder an add-on for Firefox and I assume IE to create, I think, a unique theme for our browsers. Give it a try. I think you guys with the 1st Gen's will like it.

OK When I logged in on my computer to the venturerider site using Firefox everything seems as it should be except that all I can do is read the posts/threads. It will not let me reply or start a new thread. What it is like is when you are not logged in and not a memberthe site appears that way. No reply Icon or New thread Icon. But now here is the what is really weird. I used my daughters laptop and signed in through Firefox and everything workes great. I also used my laptop and went through Internet Exployer and it works fine, Si I figured something was wrong so I did a restore to 2 days ago when I know all was correct. Yep you guessed it Still will not let me do anything but read when I log in through FireFox. I am stumped. Any help out there. Thanks Rick

I notice now with Firefox that I cannot copy/cut and paste like I could with IE. Anyone else having these issues. It also takes longer to load on some forums and to post. Im not too happy with it. Any one else have any issues too with it?

Has anyone else been having problems with Firefox loading this site the past week? Only had problems with this site. Explorer loads it OK. Any suggestions as to a fix for Firefox. Gary

I have read the other threads here on Firefox and neither of them seem to fit this problem. I have not used Firefox but I have a friend who uses it and she is now unable to open it. She has some favourites on her Firefox browser that she would like to access. Might there be an easy fix to get it started up again? Like maybe downloading Firefox 3? But, will she lose her favourites in the process? How about changing the security settings on her firewall or maybe just shutting it down temporarily? There seems to be some clued-in folks here on firefox so hopefully one of you has the magic bullet. :backinmyday:Thanks a bunch. Cliff

I have been playing around with the AutoPager plug-in for Firefox. For multi-page displays, such as a google search results or a long thread or forum here on VentureRider, it automatically loads the next page below the current one so you can just keep scrolling down instead of having to keep selecting the next page and wait for it to load. I think it is pretty cool, but, unfortunately, they don't have detailed documentation in english yet. It works automatically on many pre-defined web sites, like google, but VR is not one of those that have been defined yet. I played around with the Site Wizard and think I have a definition that works well for us. I am attaching it as a txt file to this post. If you have the AutoPager plug-in, try importing this file on the "Manage Settings" page. I haven't done this myself yet on a different computer, so I can only hope it works at this point. I'll update this post as I learn more about it. Goose

Yesterday, my computer downloaded and installed an upgrade to my Firefox browser. I now notice that if I refresh the page here at the forum or on the home page, the logos, banners and some most of the thread buttons and etc. go away. When it happens, I can click on forums or home and they come back but a refresh turns them off again. This appears to be totally related to this latest Firefox update and I cannot reproduce the problem with IE7. I will do some research tonight and try to find a fix.
