On May 3 at 9pm EST I went online and ordered a Carbtune Pro. $110 Cdn was billed to my credit card (Carbtune and case 67 Pounds) immediately. Promised 10 day air mail delivery. Today, May 10th, the package was delivered at about 10:30am EST. Basically 6 days delivery from the U.K. to Canada. Package marked as a motorcycle guage and no tax, no duty, no brokerage fees. Considering I've ordered from the U.S. before and shipped UPS and it has taken 2-3 weeks (including time held up in Customs) and cost me sales tax and Customs/brokerage fees. USPS is faster than UPS with no brokerage fees and occassionally sales tax added. 6 days from the U.K..... priceless !

Had a great long weekend with the wife and some friends at Thunder Beach Spring Bike Week in Panama City Beach FL. My first one, and it was quite the experience. The weather was awesome while there (not so great coming home!), the visual experience was "interesting" (I'll leave it at that!), and we met some really terrific people. Overall, it was pretty much what I expected. Local media put the numbers at between 75,000 and 80,000 bikes and 100,000+ visitors. Based on my informal survey of state tags, I'd say the vast majority were from GA (no surprise). We didn't get a place to stay until we arrived, and got a very nice 2 BR ocean front condo right in the middle of the action for about $120/night. Tons of availability from what I could tell. And everything is fee-free....no cover charges, parking fees, entry fees or any other kind of extra expenses for anything! That part was really nice. And there are more bike vendors spread out all over the entire 10 mile stretch of PCB then you could ever see in a week....anything you want, you can find. My only issue is that the entire event is sooooooo H-D oriented, which was OK for the wife, but not much for the Yami or Kawi crowd by way of aftermarket anything. The factory promo trucks were nowhere to be found either, except for Can-Am. But other than that, I'd say it was a pretty fun weekend to take in the total "biker" experience. We might do it again in the Fall for "Thunder Beach - Part II".

DO NOT ship by UPS ALWAYS ship via USPS (United States Postal Service) The reason's are: 1. UPS rates are generally higher 2. If sent by UPS ground, it generally takes longer 3. If the value is over $20, we get dinged brokerage fees when we receive the package as well as tax on the value. 4. If you can't be home when the package arrives, you have to wait for the 1st delivery attempt and then either go out of your way to their location to get it or have the delivery location changed. The latter cannot be done until AFTER a 1st deliver attempt is made. If you send via USPS, none of this applys. Why do I post this? Because I bought an item off a member on another forum for $65 + $15 for shipping and got dinged $35.71 after the fact for brokerage fees ... add that up and it's really not worth the purchase. What's worse is that UPS assured the sender that there would be NO ADDITIONAL fees. I f****n HATE UPS coz they have done this to me before.

The Venture Patches Have Arrived. See Attachment. I'll get them out as soon as I can. Meanwhile I've already received requests for more orders so for those interested see attachment. They are super nice looking patches. The picture has all the sizes. 3 1/2" 5 3/4" 7" 9" The 3/1/2" inch wide is great for a baseball hat size. Plus if you want a very specific width side, they can be accommodiated. Just specify the width in inches. The prices will be a bit higher than specified in the other threads for I under estimated PalPal fees and postages fees plus the number in orders I'm guessing will be less in quantity but they will still be a great value.

Where did you get your trailer? I've been looking at the PiggyBacker. Good price at $950 but add $200 for RIV processing and shipping ($186) plus the hassles with customs, brokerage fees and registration.... is there a good trailer available locally ? (Ontario) I've checked kijiji and autotrader but nothing listed. Suggestions?

Got hit a couple times w/ some overdraft fees recently and getting tired of it. I tried going through National City customer service and hasn't helped. Seems they are charging me for fees that they shouldn't be because there is money in the account. Seems after they hit me with the fees then I get overdrawn. And I am getting charged $34 a hit. Funny thing is another account of ours got hit once last year and it was $32. Everytime I ask them why the difference, they skirt around the issue. They won't give me a straight answer. Anything to make a buck I suppose. So looking for a new bank. What does your bank charge you (if anything)?

Anyone who needs to back out of the rally from this point on please read this. T shirts and patches have been ordered and paid for at this point......so if you have to back out for some reason it would be appreciated if you would still keep your tshirts and patches and of course your raffle tickets. Dinner has not been paid for so that can still be refunded. We can recalculate your payments to reflect no dinner and send you a check for refund if your paypal / credit card payment is more than 60 days old. If your payment has been within 60 days i can refund via paypal, otherwise we will loose the paypal fees and loose more by refunding. It would be like like loosing the fees twice and you would loose fees by getting a payment. thanks!

Hello you all: In order to establish a comparaison of fees between motorbike users across the country (Canada). Please send me the fees related ot the use of a motorbike in your province. For instance, the cost of insurance(in full) for a motorbike RSV_2007, the cost of a motorbike driver's licence and finally the cost of license plates for your bike (all taxes included).
