Three new grandchildren. Zackery, Dani-Lynn, and Kinley. Sorry for the confusion. I should have given a little more info. These cuties are not triplets. We are a Brady bunch and have six children. These are from three different mothers. Zach was born in Feb, Dani and Kinley in March. We also have five other grandchildren, they are: Emily, Braydon, Tyler, Alyssa, and Addison.

I am going to perform a Valve Check/Adjustment on my 05 RSV. I decided not to go the dealer route (long story). With the excellent posting on the procedure from V7Goose, I would rather learn to do it myself. Ponch has agreed to be on hand to supervise. With the amount of time needed to do this job, I will be tearing the bike down the day before. So, if anyone wants to come and see the check/adjustment procedure done Sat. Feb 19th on a 2nd Gen Venture, all are welcome. Here is the location: Perry & Mollie Kuhns 2713 Pebble Creek Dr. Pearland, TX 77581

The Great VR Scavenger Hunt!!! Find the link "Stickied" to the top of the "Fun and Frivioulous" topic. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=20503&page=80 Several new players, and a lot of activity in the last 8 days. Here's what's transpired in the last few days. A pic of you and your bike and/at... Sign with a "Q" in it, hit on Feb 13 by DanOh a drive thru, hit on Feb 16 by DynoDon some flowers, hit on Feb 16 by SMSgt railroad crossbuck sign, hit on Feb 17 by EtcswJoe Military Memorial, hit on Feb 19 by Scooter Bob a watertower, hit on Feb 20 by DanOh old fashioned barber shop, hit on Feb 21 by EtcswJoe Come on everybody else, join in the fun! Here's a brief explanation of the few rules that DynoDon put together a couple weeks ago. The game is a scavenger hunt. You look for the current "target" get a picture of you and your bike and the target. IT is OK to have you in a reflection in the chrome or mirror since it may be hard if you are alone to get a picture of you and the bike and the target. most people take a second picture of the target and their bike just so people can see it better. the person that gets the current target then sets a new target. Past targets have been things like, (all of them start:)You and your bike and:__________ A police car at a donut shop, a tractor, pumpkin patch, scarecrow, bridge, lake etc etc. Anyone can play, and you only have to look back to the last target (usually just a few messages) to see what it is. Sometimes the "group" will vote on a target if it is kind of on the edge, but usually, you get the picture, post it and set a new target. For newbies, you will have fun going through the previous targets if you want. The more that play, the more fun. Be inventive with targets, but don't make them so hard or obscure that most people can't play. Try to stay away from targets that are only in one area (Pacific ocean, etc). A topical or seasonal target can be fun. One I got was a yard display of blow up Christmas decorations! Play and have fun! Later, Scooter Bob

Has anyone ordered from Troy and had to wait a long time or didn't receive their product? I placed and paid for my stuff on Feb. 19th and still no product. I've emailed him twice this week and no response. One reason I ordered from him is the recommendations of members from this site.

I was wondering if anyone here plans to attend the show. Its Feb. 8,9,10 2008. My brother in-law and I always attend. It would be nice to meet some of the group and maybe have lunch or even dinner while there.

I'm planning an escape from the Frozen Tundra and was messing around on weather.com looking for a weather window to plan my escape.. I found the Interstate Forecast feature which is nice but it gives temps in various cities all at the same time of day... But if you select Option 2 you enter your leaving city and can add cities at the time of day you're going through them. It's snowing here Mon. but Tues. is cold and clear... I'm hoping the Main roads are clear of ice & snow by Wed. cuz Thurs & Fri another snowstorm coming through. So I got one chance to get out of here this week. I'm going to FL for Daytona Bike Week. I had to mess with the formatting to post it here... It's actually easier to read on the weather. com website... I think it's java or something... Anyhow here's what my trip is looking like... My Travel Summary Below are the forecasts for your selected cities and times. Forecasts are based on the time of day you selected. If your trip is more than 10 days away, you will see averages and records for that day. Hey Folks, Some of you local folks know that I have a very good friend that owns a Honda dealership in Richmond, Michigan here called Peak Powersports. http://peakhonda.com/default.asp Quincey and I have been good friends for right at 10 years and I would do anything for him. I lead a charity ride that a few of our members participated in last September..... Anywho. He has a great sale going on right now until Febuary 20th on Dunlop tires. I know there are quite a few of you folks that like the Dunlops and I'm going to do everything I can to give him a shot in the arm as the economy here in Michigan is sucking badly. Deal is he needs to get orders for 20 of tires by Feb 20th and his distributor will give him a great discount. He is passing the saving on and has offered this up. If you place an order and pay for the tires before Feb 20th he will mount and balance the new tires on your rims that you bring to him for FREE. He will also do them if you bring in the bike, but you'll be charged the labor for taking them off the bike and back on. His prices are VERY competitive with the online stores and he stands behind what he does. I dont put my name on many things or companies that I dont trust, Q is one of the best. If your local here in Michigan and are needing tires for whatever scoot you own (That includes dirt bikes and ATV's) please give him a call and see what he will do for you. Quincey is the owner and his youngest son Nick works for him as well. Check them out as they have a lot to offer

The Kawasaki Voyager price is now posted on their web site. $16,899 - $17,459. Its sounding better and better. I will see it in person in Feb, in Chicago at the show. I really think the one at the shows is not the final version, but we'll see.

Got the trip booked for Vegas in Feb. We are only there for a few days. We land on the evening of the 12th Feb. and leave on the 15th I believe. Our "free" day is most likely the 14th and we hope to maybe rent a bike and drive out to the Grand Canyon. Is that plausable? Then maybe meet up with Ron and Linda and whomever else is interested for something to eat. We are staying at New York New York. Feedback and hints are appreciated!

Was down at one of the local dealers here in Houston today. Got to talking to one of the salespeople about the Venture and when is Yamaha going to dump the tape player and go with a CD changer? Well he said that when they were at the annual shindig that Yamaha has the rep said to take a good look at the '08 because that was going to be the end of the Venture as we know it now. I tried to pry more info out of him but he said that is all he knows right now. Said they will probably see what Yamaha is going to do in Sep. this year and will probably have a release date Feb. '09. I said,"oh, a new first gen", and he said it will definately be a new and different look than what they have now. I guess we can always dream tho. Don H.
