Rode out to Lowes this morning. When I came out to get on the trike and put on my helmet, the button on top to raise/low the sun screen had fallen off. I looked but did not find it. Came home and examined the helmet and decided to call Gmax to see what sort of $$ it would cost to repair the helmet. A very nice gentleman took the helmet model info, said he would have the entire mechanism to replace the slider in the mail this afternoon, NO CHARGE! Just want to give a thumbs up to Gmax and their customer service!!

I found a decent looking one with only one sm crack online, but for $149 (and a future entire bike repaint), I'd like to know it will fit my 85 VR. It looks the same. Thanks!

Hope this is the right forum. I sold my 84 to a good friend and he has been unable to fix the speedo. Does anyone have a working speedometer? Or an entire cluster? It appears the drive broke where the cable goes in. Which approach should he take? It seems to me changing the entire cluster would be easiest. Thanks in advance.

I realize this is a huge thing to ask of anyone but I am going to make this to the point. I am in Indiana and my oldest brother is in Eugene Oregon. He is in ICU right now and have heard various things in regards to his condition including doctors aren't sure if he is going to make it. My parents have asked me to stay put as my parents, my brothers 2 daughters and their families have already gone out there and mom says too many people wouldn't be good for him. But if I get a call that says the entire family should be there I want to get there ASAP. If I can help it I don't want to deal with 30 layovers to get to him that commercial airlines from what i remember seem to make everyone do on long flights. Thanks. Jerry

In 2007 I bought a new RSV until this time I had'nt any problem. Recently I had a problem whith the fuel pump, it doesn't work anymore ! Could you please confirm Yamaha will honour the 5 years warranty? I'll await your reply as soon as possible before ordering new part at my own cost. Thank you for your time. At the same time, where could I find the entire specifications of this 5 years warranty?

Has anyone ever tackled this job? Since the shock has less than 5K miles on it, I don't really want to replace the entire thing. But, considering the progressive spring mod if it's not horridly difficult.

I tried to order this part from Yamaha and they said that this part is no longer available. I'm needing the small black washer (wierd sharpe) that slides over the threaded portion of the chrome bar of the entire radio module. The chrome bar is what you grip in order to lift the entire radio module out of the faring. I have an 89 VR. I'm hoping that someone might have an extra radio module unit that they are using for spare parts.
-
Just yesterday I got on the bike and after about 15-20 min I realized that there wasn't any noise coming out of the headset. Oops forgot to turn on the radio. As soon as I noticed I realized just how much I enjoy riding that it takes me 20 min to realize that all I'm listening to is the sound of the ride. (and yes, I had a smile on my face the entire time.)

I had Time Warner take their hub out today and I installed my own. I've been putting this off for over a month because of the horror stories I've read about. I bought an "inexpensive" Linksys hub ($30) and plugged it in, my laptop recognized it immediately and my Dell had to have the NetGear software reloaded. The entire operation took about 10 minutes. All 3 puters are up and running at a $15 a month savings.

I rode last Thursday 350 miles from Fairfield in SE Iowa to Minneapolis MN. The temps were i the upper 40s to lower 50s the whole time and it rained from start to finish. I discovered that my rain suit had disguised tears in the crotch so I ended up sitting in water the entire time. Despite this my Widder liner and gloves kept me warm the entire trip. I am a big fan of good electric gear now. I should really enjoy it when my new Frogg Toggs come in the mail. Then I will really feel like I am ready for the weather. BTW, does anyone have a recommendation for water proof glove covers for the Widder heated gloves? Iowa Guy

Perhaps I'm confused about the clutch and clutch basket. Are they the same thing ? I'm starting to get aggravated with the noise ( whine, chirp or whatever) in my 2007 Venture and have seen where some have ordered and replaced the basket. Is that the entire clutch ? or just a part of it ? I did look but couldn't find an answer. Thanks in advance

I wrote that last check, and I have never felt so good in my entire life!!! ( Yes, the house is paid for too, whatever its still worth, I'm afraid to check on that ) Three Cheers for " Rick Santellie " !!!

Can anyone out there tell me what is the number of the bulb behind the right or tachometer section on the early first gen? It seems mine burned out and can only see half of my dash insruments at night now. I can get it when I pull it apart but would like to buy it first. BTW can that area be accessed by just removing the wind screen or do I need to remove the entire fairing? (again)

I was coming back home this afternoon from Edwardsville, IL, and brought highway 48 up from Raymond instead of sticking to interstate the entire way. On the way, I passed an RSV running 2-up headed south. Anyone from here?
