I have seen the "fly and ride" rental ads on the internet, but I love our RSTD with the mods we have made. And, it seems to me that it would be cheaper for a 1 - 2 week tour to ship the bike, pick it up and use it for the vacation, bring it back, have it shipped back, etc, than the cost of renting a bike. We are in Delaware and both employed so considering going cross country (which would be great!) is out of the range of our vacation days! But, we might be able to afford to ship the bike, buy econo plane tickets both ways and do something really great! Has anyone done this?

The bike was pinstripped at MD, I asked about washing and here is what the paint MFG instructions were. Kevin, I tend to suggest waiting two or three days before washing, and 30 days before waxing. Just looking in on the Elbo Room in Fort Lauderdale and everyone is in shorts and T shirts, can't wait till spring!! The reason for this note is that we have an international forum here, that being said, I am about to take on a new job with an offshore rig and I was wondering if any of our members may have held a postion on a offshore platform. Being in the navy for some 20 years I am by no means a land lubber but have never worked with the oil industry before. I will be employed in the technical side probably in a overseas position with a hitch of 28 days. I guess you can say that I am kind of a greenhorn when working with the private industry and any info of what to expect would be great. Thanks...
