A buddy of mine told me if we decide to head west this week to be sure and ride the Million Dollar Hwy. I looked at pics of it on the net and........WHAT THE?!?! Is this road as edgy as it looks in the pics? Looks like I better get my britches sinched up for that one.

I'm not usually one to push band onto anyone but, KromeRose and I went to the Freedom Fest Bike Rally in Fayetteville NC Saturday the 4th. Originally we went to see Rebel Son a NC edgy Southern Rock (with the emphasis on Edgy) band. We also saw Confederate Railroad, but the first band that opened up impressed us the most. They were called Swampdawamp. What a name. I got to say though they were a great Southern Blues Rock band. They had great stage presence and really put on a heck of a show. We are going to see them again in Kinston NC on the 17th then on to Raliegh the next weekend to see Kid Rock, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Black Stone Cherry. Well, we're 1 week into being non-smokers. The Champix is working to a degree; however, I do get the occasional craving for a smoke. Seems it comes not long before it's time to take my next pill... go figgure eh? LOL. The wife isn't taking anything and she's a "wee tad" more edgy than I am (edgy is a polite way of saying b*tchy lol). Had a party on Sat for my son's b/day... got slightly "overserved" on such things as rum, beer, tequila shooters, wine.... hmmmmm seems I recall having a few puffs that evening... shame on me! Last week was tough but yesterday and today are seeming much easier. The desire & determination to quit has not faded, that's for sure. Thanks to everyone who offered support and those of you in the same process as me... KEEP AT IT... don't give up!
