Well, I found out today that blue Loctite eats paint, and eats plastic. I loctited the bolts on my windshield, to keep them from coming loose. I didn't think I used very much. I put everything back together, and came inside for a few hours. I just went outside, and see the damage is done. It runs all of the way down my lower. If I try to wipe it off, it just takes the paint off. The clear deflector is etched now, and will have to be replaced. I will probably wait until winter, and then have the lowers painted, and paint the deflectors to match. Did some searches came up empty handed. Other than Dons MD does anything ever go on in the Ohio area. You know any rides or meet and eats, that I see happening all over the world on this sight. Just seems strange that the sight originates right around the corner and nothing else happens around here.:think:

From another thread......... BTW there was no mention of the Birthday, the day before, so Brian & I didn't know at that point. Scotty, your timing for showing up in the cage was perfect, as Friesman1 was delayed too (slept in & 6 hour drive). We had great eats, then to finishing work on Friesman1's scoot. We took the swing arm off, as it was not re-assembled correctly in California, after middle gear was blown. Then more fantastic eats, after Brian's initial test ride within the building. I had provided Scotty & Brian with VR Gremlin bells, after dinner.......... Yesterday, Brian rode the scoot outdoors in the Wainwright area, after a final rear brake bleeding. Then we finished up, on the re-assembly of mine. Last time I saw him last night, he was riding in the direction of Timmies & not the motel. Will be meeting up with him again this morning & he will be heading home this afternoon. There will be some pics, but Brian has them.

DURING THE LAST COUPLE OF MONTHS,I'VE BEEN TALKING TO PJ BENNETLEPEL AND VTIRELLI ON WORKING TOGETHER ON GETTING US NY MEMBERS MORE ORGANIZED AS A GROUP...ALTHOUGH WE ARE IN THE EARLY PLANNING STAGES, WE'VE DECIDED TO RUN AT THIS TIME, A SERIES OF MEET AND EATS IN NY..VINNY WILL BE RUNNING ONE IN JUNE OF 09 IN SOUTH EAST NY,I WILL BE HOSTING ONE IN WNY IN JULY, AND PHIL WILL BE DOING HIS IN AUGUST IN THE FINGER LAKES REGION OF NY..THIS LEAVES NOTHING FOR THE NORTHEASTERN PART OF THE STATE..I AM LOOKING FOR A MEMBER IN THAT AREA WHO MIGHT BE WILLING TO RUN ONE IN EARLY SEPTEMBER...MAYBE AROUND SARRITOGA SPRINGS? IF YOU ARE INTERESTED PLEASE LET ME KNOW...THIS PAST YEAR BONGO BOB AND I HAVE FORMED A LITTLE GROUP HERE IN WNY OF ABOUT 12 BIKES..YES I KNOW ITS NOT MUCH, BUT IT IS CATCHING ON...WHEN I MET BOB ,I BECAME NO.3 OF THE GROUP...AGAIN IF YOU ARE INTERESTED PLEASE LET ME KNOW...AS PLANS ARE MORE FINALIZED, I WILL BE POSTING OUR PLANS IN THE MEET AND EATS SECTION FORUM...

Folks, I've been doing a bit of house cleaning and will be doing it off and on over the next few days. If you get a PM telling you that a thread you started has been deleted, it's not because you have done anything wrong. Most of what I'm deleting are threads about upcoming meets and eats, rallies, etc. that are long past. There may be others also that are simply no longer relevant so don't worry if a thread that you started gets deleted.

Thanks to all the wives that came for breakfast this morning. I really enjoyed meeting each of you. Guys, you have some nice wives...bring them more often. Please put feedback on here if you would be interested in more 8:30 AM meet and eats. Will have pics posted as soon as Rick finds the book to his camera. well no one has ever made a plea like this that i know of ,so here it goes. we have around 5,000 members on here, some just sit back and enjoy the benefit's. alot of us are doers. nothing wrong with that. but in my opinion we need more people around the two countries usa, and canada to sponser meet and eats. believe me folks they are more fun to get together than you can imagine, and a great chance to meet great people and help promote a great site. i love seeing people get together and have a great time. i enjoy putting on meets and attending them. it's not hard to do. if anyone wants to have a meet and eat but does'nt know how to do it just ask and i and many others would be glad to give you input. i know i could do one almost every weekend and never get tired of it. nice thing about meet and eats is the people that don't have alot of vacation can participate if they are close to home. so think about it and lets do it. bill :clap2:

Well, my battery lasted 5 riding seasons but now needs to be replaced. Does anyone have any recommmendations for a good replacement? This summer there was discussion at one of the meet & eats about a gel battery. Has anyone bought one and, if so, how do you like it so far?
