Highway 1 "Shoreline Drive" is just an incredible road. It has everything you could want in a road. Curves with Cliffside vistas of the Pacific Ocean. Little to no traffic (occasional yellow line drifters so watch out). Small, rustic towns to visit and eat lunch. The best way to ride it, is from the North so you are next to the water. You can take side trips through the Red Wood forests. Absolutely amazing views so take several days to absorb this world class road.

well 3 months ago I got the bad news that I was a type 2 diabetic. and this is why my burn wound I had was not healing right. I had lots of infection in that leg. been through lots of treatment as well. been place on meds for the diabetic problems. went from 280 pounds down to 260 to some times 264 it goes up like that after I eat my night time weight is more then what I weigh in the AM? I am trying hard to lose more weight, so I am asking for some info? with MY orthopedic problems and my MS high blood pressure and all other health problems. I cant work out like I use too. I eat healthy now gave up the pop and cut sugar out of my diet as much as possible. found out cold water is not so bad after all I use that sweetner stuff in my 2 cups of tea I drink in the AM and I have non sugar flavored water with my meals. I am just trying to figure out what more can I do to lose the weight? taking the weight off I did now I feel better. the leg wound has lost all the infection and is down to a small size hard lump. doctors will work on taking that down some by removing skin layers little by little. I might always have a hard lump there but it is not painfull any more and I can live with that but I have to watch my diet and get more weigh off any ideas on what I could do to get more off of me? thanks oldgoat

Well it only took 2 years of negotiating but it is finally mine. Well sort of. I bought it, I paid for it, now I just have to get it off the 4th floor that it is on and then get it home and then into my basement (I have no garage). It will eat up 4 ft x 6 ft of floor area in my tiny little basement. It is a Brown and Sharp No.2 (B?)

Due to the fact that a certian unnamed member lost his passport Ben (saddlebum) and Carl (marcarl) did not make it to the Detroit meet and eat. Rather then leave these two out standing members, out in the cold. A table for 4, was acquired at the China King restaraunt on the outskirts of Brantford. Dispite the short notice there was still a 50% turn out of VR members. Of course as is the norm Carl began the festivity's with a fine speech and since BradT was at the M&E in Detroit there was no one there to interupt his speech. Food was great and and at one point if you can believe it or not Carl was actually left speechless as you can see by the pictures below.

As mentioned in a previous thread I was thinking about setting up a Meet and Eat at the Table Top Restaurant in Burlington ON. Sat Jan 5th. this is the weekend of the Big Toronto Motorcycle show. I realiize this is a bit of a short notice (due to me being in Germany most of December) but Last years was such a great success with a wonderful turn out that I thought it would be nice to give it another shot this year. So if anyone is up for it let me know and if enough interest is indicated I will set it up. Exact time of day yet to be determined, I was thinking of about 6:00 PM----alternate Time suggestions welcome. P/S The Table Top is an excellent Restaraunt with great food huge portions. Also very easy to get to. being just a couple turns of the QEW.

Hey Friends and family. I know we are hanging round for a while and have many eat a meet - ings, Fix a stuf day, International drink a days, Plan a pee stop rides ( by Eck ), Tail of Roosters days, Party at state park by Dragons days, Monster days, Eat more meet in the Pines ... and to many to remember. I did take some pics, but i know you guys have more. I have such a great time each and every whatever listed above. ( Or maybe is beer ) Please feel free to Post any pic of me and best one will win a price of your choice. any one interested in meeting and eating at bass pro in january on a saturday? it would be a one day deal . we haven't done it for awhile. let me know if your interested. if we get enough response i will set a date. we will meet their about 11 am and eat at the restaurant at bass pro and head for home. it's quite a place to see if you have never been there.

Is there a meet & eat this year in Blanchard , Mi this year or has it off the table. I didn't get there last year cause I was in Arkansas with another group I ride with and this year they want to go to Utah this year and I don't have the time or $ to go there. So is there a meet & eat this year or not Ron:whistling:

Alright looks like the meet and eat will be Sat. July 7, 2012. We will be meeting at 9:00 am at the Pilot Truck Stop at Exit 41 off of I-85. Coming from the north take a left turn under the interstate and the Pilot is on the right, coming from the south take a right and the Pilot is on the right. If anyone wants there is a Subway and a Wendy's there if they want to eat breakfast before we leave, expect KSU at 9:45 am. We will take some back roads down to Warm Springs where they have a shop, Extreme Motorsports that opens at 11:00 am, also have a M/C musem, there is an admission to get in. We will spend about an hour there and then head into FDR State Park and ride over Pine Mtn, mild twisties nothing like the Dragon but a nice ride with some very nice scenic overlooks. We will make a couple of stops in the overlooks, bring your cameras for some nice pics. From there we will leave the park and head down to the small town of Pine Mtn. and eat at a great little BBQ stand called Three Little Pigs, great food, but they dont take credit or debit so make sure you bring cash or you may go hungry.............!!! After that some more back roads back towards Newnan. Hope to see lots of new and old friends there.

Jury duty is over, haven't been on the bike in over a week, time for some cycle-therapy, leaving around 9:30 to go on a ride with K-Rider and another co-worker. I still haven't had anything solid to eat since lunch yesterday and that wasn't very much, hopefully my stomach will be settled down enough to eat lunch. I have been having problem eating ever since deliberation started, gotta get that outa my brain and replace them with more plesant thoughts..........looking to put about 300 miles on the bike today. :Venture::Venture:

One of the things that stand out about our recent trip to San Francisco is that on the way there we pulled off the interstate to eat. We had to stop for a red light before continuing to the restaurant...there on the corner was a panhandler. Not the typical panhandler as we both commented on his attire, which was actually pretty nice (better clothes than what I was wearing). We continued on the restaurant...where we sat outside. While eating, Belinda said "look at that"...it was the panhandler coming to eat, too...getting out of a Lexus! I know that many of these people need help, but when I'm driving a Corolla and he is driving a Lexus...I'm just saying!

Had a beautiful 80 degree, blue sky ride thru the TN/NC mountains today. Linda and I packed a picnic lunch and looped thru the KOA in east Asheville. At this time, for the week of June 10-12, there are 14 cabins available and our campsites at the lilly pond are still available. As I have said, I want to see if there is much interest in getting together for a long weekend meet and eat. At this time I am planning on taking that week as vacation and starting at Freebird's MD and seeing where it goes from there. So, now it is time to see what we can put together. RandyA

For those of you who watch what you eat, here's the final word on nutrition and health. It's a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting nutritional studies. 1. The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans. 2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans. 3. The Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans. 4. The Italians drink a lot of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans... 5. The Germans drink a lot of beer and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans. CONCLUSION: Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what kills you.

Marca wants to make some apple blossoms. She thinks somebody form this forum told her how to make them,, but she can't remember who, or how they were made. Man,,,,could I ever eat some apple blossoms.
