Got about 1500 miles on them. Wearing pretty good. I wore out a set of E3's in 7000 miles and hoping I can gets some more out of these. Been reading the reports on chunking, most seems to be about 4 years old. I will keep an eye on them and keep them at max wall pressure. Other than that I think they are much quieter than the E3's and turning at speed is much easier too.

OK, we have beat this issue to death and I am about ready to dump the Avons and order up some E3's. We are running 404's on the Wife's Suzuki and they are made in Indonesia. Probably better than China but??? Does anyone volunteer to check their E3's to see where they are from. Thanks, Gary

Getting ready to buy a new set of rubber. Thought about trying E3's to replace the Avon's. Has anyone actually weighed the front and rear separately? I'm concerned about overloading the rear with the E3's.

Just wanted to say Thank You to all of you on here who recommended the E3 tires. Just replaced the original 404 tires with a set of E3's and WOW what a difference no squirrelly feeling on rough pavement or tar snakes or even road cracks. Top heavy feeling is gone! Anyway thanks everyone. Anyone still running the 404's try E3's when you wear your 404's out. You will not be sorry. By the way they were only $40 more than a new set of 404's! Ken!

So, I'm planning on putting new tires on the scoot before we leave for Cody. I got a price "on-line" which is out of the US on E3's bias ply. I then requested a quote from a local supplier and darned near fell off my chair. Front was $51 more and rear was $62 more and that's after a 20% discount. I am waiting for a response as to if they quoted on Radials. So, my Q is, do you guys buy bias or radial E3's ???

I recently replace my old Dunlop E2 tires with 404's. I'm not unhappy with the 404's but I can tell they are less tire than the E2's were and I'll probably look for some more robust tires when these wear out. Can you get anywhere the same miles out of E3's that you could the E2's ? I could run the E2's forever. I know Metzler and Michelin, Avon etc... make some great tires too but I had such good luck with the E2's I'll probably stick with Dunlop since most of my riding these days is old-geezer style anyway. The E2's are hard to find now and are too pricey so I'm wondering how people who have had them like the E3's and if people that have previously ran E2's also like the E3's ?

I installed a set of E3's on the '89 I have here and have a question for the 1st genners. I find that the handling actually went down, I'm thinking because of the profile on the tire and it being more rounded up into the casing. It actually feels to me, at slow speeds to plow more, kinda like a stock 2nd gen. I'm not too crazy about this, but I know that I will get used to how it reacts. My question is, do any of you other 1st genners feel the same as I do ?

Anybody have any experience with this tire. Not asking if this is the best only asking if anyone has any experience with this tire. I already know about Avon's and Dunlop E3's but know nothing about this tire.

Seems there are several of us now with e3's. I got my rear yesterday. Coming from Commanders I was leary of trying something new but figured we can always wear it out and go back. This tire seems VERY Sticky. It was sprinkling off and on and about 45 degrees on the way home. I never felt a slip. Not having the scuff in done yet, I held back but had to goose it a few times. I believe this is going to be a very good tire - It rides great. I read conflicting posts elsewhere about noise and howling, low miles, high miles, bounce, no bounce was starting to scare me but, I never heard a peep out of it (the Bub's do cover up some noises) and was very smooth. about 35 miles on it and very happy so far. Will update as time goes on.

Has anyone tried both the E3 and the Venom? I've been riding on E3 and liked them alot. The front still is 50% but the rear is due. Do Venoms wear better/worse than the E3s? I got 11K out of the rear E3 will get 20K out of the front it appears?
