I am receiving as many as five e-mails for working at home in one day and all are the same except the http// addresses are different. All these sound like the noted sender is making a personal recommendation. I contacted the person that is noted and they are saying they did not send it and they are also getting the same thing. I clicked on one of the http// addresses and read the offer to try to stop this and there does not appear to be any way. I am also concerned that everyone in my address book is or will be getting the same crap. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can stop this? RandyA

The following is an e-mail I sent out to several friends and family about sending and forwarding e-mails. If anyone wants to copy this and also send it to anyone, go for it. I hope it makes sense. RandyA My e-mail New Years Resolution This one is a little different and it is one I am also going to ask that you also do. You may notice that it looks like I just sent this to you only, when actually, I sent it to over ten people. The reason it looks this way is I put everyone's e-mail name/address in the BCC box rather than in the TO or CC box. I have been trying to do this for awhile, but a current post on my motorcycle web site about virus problems being associated with e-mails being passed around suggested the very same thing to keep them to a minimum. First of all, I want to say that I really do enjoy the e-mails that many of you send me. Some are inspirational, some are informative, some are really funny and some are downright naughty. I love them, but I have to say that when I open an e-mail and there is a history of many, many names and e-mail address being shown as to where it had been sent, it always concerns me. I know that my e-mail address is also being forwarded as part of the history. This is also how many of our e-mail addresses end up being part of a phishing expedition and how spam gets forwarded and how some of you got an e-mail that looked like it was sent from me recently trying to get you to buy Viagra. This is real simple and only takes a minute. When you forward an e-mail, highlight all those addresses and occasional comments and simply delete them. And, it also makes it look like I took the extra effort to send an e-mail to just YOU and you alone and don't that make you feel special? Thanks everyone and I hope you all are going to have as great of a New Year as I am planning on having!!

Not sure if anyone else is getting these or not but I've received 2 e-mails from appears to be Paypal. Something about someone was using my account fraudently. Both e-mails were very professional in appearance with none of the typical misspellings when it comes to phishing e-mails. I didn't hit the links but e-mailed paypal directly from their website. They responded back very quick saying that the e-mails were indeed fake and they were aware of them and are working on them. Just a warning here.

I guess you could call this a "rant", and if it needs to be moved to another category then please do so. My '04 had just had a set of Bub's mufflers put on it not long before I got it. After my first long ride to the Smokies in May '06 I noticed the chrome on the tips was blistering really bad. I contacted Bub's and they told me to send a copy of the receipt, which I did. Then they told me I'd have to send the tips to them for inspection by their "Q.A" dept. and IF they were defective they would replace them in a couple of weeks. I proceeded to tell them that I felt it was totally unacceptable for me to have to sit out prime riding time while they decided what to do. I finally got them replaced after 6 e-mails and a credit card number to charge if they didn't receive the old ones within 10 days of delivery of the new ones. Well,,, guess what!! It's been 20 months since they were replaced, and now they are blistered again, just as bad as before, after being assured that they were no longer plated but polished billet. I don't expect any assistance at all now, but to me it doesn't look like they are putting out nearly as quality of a product as they claim. Oh well, the e-mail's on the way!!

:rotfl:For those of you who are sick of getting emails that tell you to forward it to at least X number of people in the next 15 minutes so that wonderful things and miracles will happen if you do, or there will be serious consequences if you don't, then you will enjoy this. Make sure your volume is on, this is great. This is hilarious! (and it's ABOUT TIME someone did this!) http://info.org.il/irrelevant/may02-smilepop-soapbox4.swf :rotfl:

I seem to be having issues with DGY on their discount program. Since they are a vendor who offers us discounts I had asked Don about it and he has spoken to them. They had promised to apply the discount (18%) but never did. My issue really isnt so much the discount at this point, but rather DGY's failure to acknowledge the e-mails. Their service was great and the items were received on time. I have pasted the Thank You e-mail that I received today below with my response heading up the e-mail: The following is in response to the Thank you e-mail that I received today: I have sent you 2 e-mails and called the 800 # concerning an 18% OEM parts purchase discount that was supposed to be applied to my order for being a member of VentureRider.org. To date I have not received a reply to either e-mail, nor was I successful in getting this corrected on the phone as no one at DGY would help with this issue. While the parts were received in a timely manner, as you can see from this final invoice, the discount was not applied. You are listed on our club website as a vendor who promised to give discounts on parts ordered from your company. Obviously, this is not the case and I will be posting this on our 3500 member website soon. As I had stated in my previous e-mails, I had asked that the discount be applied or if the discount program was discontinued to please let me know. This has not been done in either case. Your reply at the bottom of the invoice clearl states to feel free to contact DGY with any question that you may have. To date, my e-mails have gone unanswered. This is not a good way to do business.
