My VR will be running fine. I pull up to a light or stop in traffic. Sometimes it just dies like you turned the ignition off. It doesn't sputter before it does this, it just quits. It will usually start right back up, but the starter turns it slowly. Sometimes I have to push it out of traffic and wait a minute or two before it will crank fast enough to start. I have to put it in neutral, just pulling the clutch lever won't let it crank. It doesn't do it until it has warmed up and I have driven a ways (it usually does it when driven at least 10 or 15 miles in warm weather). It has a one year old gel cell battery and a 4 brush starter with large battery wire. Sometimes if I catch it quick enough as I'm starting to open the throttle, it will pick back up and run ok, until the next time.

Went out with some friends last night and tied one on. Knowing that I was wasted, I did something that I have never done before. I took a bus home. I arrived home safe and sound, which seemed really surprising, as I have never driven a bus before.

I rode the bike in to work today (about 60 miles @ 40 degrees) and was really happy with the way it performed since it was my first time out on the new scoot. I stopped to fill up and checked my mileage and was surprised to see I only got 26 mpg. I recently synched the carbs. Here's the dumb question part. I then realized I had driven the bike with it choked about 1/4-1/2. Will that affect the mpg's that much? Also, did I possible hurt anything on the bike by driving it that far with it choked?

Okay, looks like somebody started something and it probably won't end here. One thread asked how many (Active/Retired LEO's in the group) and after this one, somebody will probably ask how many mechanics, etc, etc. But anyway, have had my Class A license for 43 years and have driven just about everything there is right up to 80,000 lbs. I won't tell you about the real overweight trucks I've driven. But did it for 33 years and took a long rest (retired, of which I only drove half a dozen trucks in 10 years of retirement. Went back to work after financial problems, so went back to what I know best and have been driving big rigs again for almost 3 years now. Cadillac's to what I ever drove back in the old days with much more power. :>)

Hwy 49. 15 miles. Bear Valley to Coulterville. Called the "Little Dragon". Has anyone heard of it? Anyone driven it? Suppose to be short and sweet! Found it on the Pashnit website.
