Twice now I've run my fuel level down to less than a gallon. When I stopped to refuel, a small amount of gas dripped from a hose at the bottom center of the bike. I didn't actually see the fuel dripping. By the time I had finish fueling the bike, it had stopped. This doesn't happen with a half full tank and I don't see any signs of it dripping while it's parked in the garage. Anybody know why?

2007 RSV, oil dripping onto floor from one or two of the hoses that drop down just forward of the rear tire. Possible oil overfill? Bike was purchased from a Honda dealer with appx 18,500 miles on it, now has another 1,000 since I bought it. They serviced it. Looks like the sight glass is full when checking oil level. You'd think that those Yamaha engineers could devise an easier, more convenient way to check the oil level on these engines. But then we might also expect fuel injection, C D player, on board air compressor, etc. Mel:Venture:

I have noticed a gas smell on my 84 Venture Royale and couldn;t figure out where it was coming from. I did notice that under the seat it looked like four overflow tubes? and while the bike was in idle gas was dripping from one of them? ANy ideas what could be causing that? I would sure appreciate any insight. thanks Rick

So I have noticed a drop of oil under the bike since I got it. Today I changed the oil and filter and was checking things out closely and found that it is dripping from a tube that runs under the engine. A metal cross tube on the frame that has 2 flat bars with holes in them. Right behind that on the bottom of the engine there are some rubber tubes and the oil is dripping from one of them. I can not get a good enough look above that. I think the smell I am smelling is from oil getting on something hot. Anyone out there know where I'm talking about? I will try and get a picture of the area today and post it. There is only a drop or 2 after sitting a few days after a ride. But I think it maybe causing the smell I have. You can see the oil drip. http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s37/VictoriaVett/CIMG1411.jpg

The rear shock on my 05 RSV will not hold air pressure for a full ride. I start out with 40# and after a days ride it is down to 20# or less. Is this normal? I have seen mention of oil leaking and I don't see anything dripping or wet. There is however a lot of grease buildup on the bottom of the shock. What should I test or look for to confirm a bad shock? What affect would a bad shock have on handling?

I hope someone can help. I just finished assembling a 1986 Venture that had been sitting foe approx 2 years. Everything was going along just fine until I started the bike for the first time. It ran pretty well and then I noticed engine oil dripping from the front swingarm boot onto the left side of the center stand. It appears to be leaking from the center of the boot on the bottom. The dripping oil got warmer as the bike warmed up. Has anyone got an idea as to what the problem is and any ideas on how to remedy the problem. Thanks for your input. rick
