Not for the bike, for my laptop. I am trying to change my browser from Internet Explorer to Chrome and I go thru the steps to load it and it says it is loaded, but it does not appear to be there. It does not show up in my programs section either. I tried to download Foxfire, but it made all kinds of changes to my computer, so I uninstalled it. What am I doing wrong? RandyA

I have an mp3 and was going to download songs from Itunes. I downloaded a song to my computer but can't get it to transfer to my mp3. Tech support at Itunes said I could only download to an Ipod and not an mp3. I've talked to other people that said they had mp3's and were able to download. Can anyone tell me if this is correct? Thanks,

I have a 2006 RSTD, I am about to pull both tires off to have new ones put on, I have read and book marked several threads that I am sure will help alot. I read that i shpuld download and read the service manual and was wondering where it is located. I have the owners manual but that is all. Is there any other manuals I should download or get? This is a great site, thanks to all that help. -

My Compaq Presario lap top has gotten real slow. I did the disc cleanup and defragged and restored to an earlier point and it is still slow. I went on to cccleaner and did a scan and it did the usual 3,000+ problems found and it said it had a free download. But when I installed it to do the scan and it found problems, it requires me to purchase to do the fix. Is the free download just for the scan? Any other suggestions? RandyA

Well, I have my BikeMP3 player installed and I have tunes, but what a struggle! Check out my posting on another forum. http://www.goldwingowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7169 When I ordered the MP3 player, I thought I would get the "music populating" software on a CD, didn't read the whole thing, did not understand it was a download. When I could not get the download to work, I gave up on it. I loaded CD's into windows media player and worked with SD cards from there. Player is mounted on left side of travel trunk, 2nd card is in small case . Both attached with velcro.

For the last 4 evenings, Cable internet has dropped. Leaving me all alone in the twilight zone , No cyberspace either. Thank Goodness for my Droid. By tethering it to the laptop, at least I have connection. For those on the Droid network , download PDANet from the Market Place. It make it possible to get the Net for emergencies and travel. And it's Free and FAST too ! BEER30 via the Driod/Laptop

I do not know who to contact but I have been trying to download pics to update my thread and it keeps failing I have tried different computers and sending the pics to different places but it keeps saying the upload failed and I have put pics on my thread before.

After reading through the post on the online station, it gave me some really good suggestions for songs to download to my MP3. Then I thought it would be a great thread. Be specific on the song name. As you guys recommend them, I'm gonna download the ones I like. Thanks in advance.... Already downloaded lots of CCR, Black Betty, Danger Zone, etc. Keep em coming.

will allow you to input your own routes? most threads have comments about the turn by turn voice directions. i like mapping out my own route and would like to download that into a GPS. Then get the turn by turn directions without having to look at the tank bag window.

If you are looking for a free photo editing program you can find one here. (I have several programs but I like how this one functions.) www.giveawayoftheday.com On that site is a full program that you can download and install and have a full working copy. The only catch is that you have to download and install it within the time shown on the screen. If you wait till later to install it won't work. There is a different program every 24 hrs. Not sure if this site was posted before...if so ooops!!! Keith

Hi folks. Am looking at buying a garmin GPS unit but am not sure if I am comparing apples to oranges! The GPS Garmin I have now is a 265WT and I made a trip by saying 'Go to' (note that I am in Swift Current, Sask. Canada) to Jasper, Alberta, Canada. I then added North Battleford, Sask. Canada as a 'Via' route. However, by doing this the GPS wants to take me into North Battleford town (not necessary) and will not let me choose the route through Edmonton, Alberta. I have created this trip with my choses routes through Edmonton and a little jog in the highway between Edmonton and Jasper. Could someone who has a Garmin GPS that can download routes do this on their machine and make sure that all the particular streets (in Edmonton) etc do come through? If it does, then I think I want a GPS that lets me download routes so I can plan my motorcycle trips all winter and then download them with all the correct turns etc rather than letting the GPS decide which highway etc to use. Thanks guys and it sure will help me decide what GPS unit to buy.

it comes out today , anyone going to download it today ? i bought a new netbook last mo. and it came with a free download . i am not sure how to do it . i was told to do a backup before installing W7 but i don't have a diskdrive so i have to use a online backup . i am worried about it , i have never installed a OS before , any help would be great ! Okay. I've had a Garmin 2730 for a few years now and love it. It has XM which when working is nice to have. But another Garmin antenna has gone bad and I refuse to buy another one. The GPS also has a MP 3 player which I've never used. I think I'd like to put some songs on the MP 3 but have no idea how to go about doing this. I don't want to start paying a dollar a song to download and transfer. Are there really any free download sites that are legit and won't get me in a jam or is that a myth? Also, I've heard of people downloading music CD's to something like an Ipod. Can this also be done to this MP3?

Nub here again. While waiting on parts to arrive,I'm just kinda walking around my bike,looking,,thinking,wondering. I:think:have read in some forums that maybe I could download a manual for my bike somewhere on this site.Can anyone put me on this?I have simple questions like, What's the little knob beside the ignition switch for? To make a long story short; Yesterday I received an e-mail from Garmin telling me map updates were available....When I went on their site it offered an update disk for $69. or a lifetime update download service for $119. Sounded like a good deal so I took it... The download took over 6 hours on a high speed DSL Then I tried to open the downloaded file which proceeded to grind in the background for 45 minutes totally blocking all attempts to stop it - I thought I had just gotten a virus !!!! I ended up doing a cold boot by turning off the power !!!! After another round of the same I put the download in the trash and deleted it. I then sent 2 e-mails to Garmin explaining the problem and asking for an immediate refund - both as a reply to the purchase confirmation and on the "my garmin" site as a customer service complaint. Today, having received no reply, I called them -the call took well over an hour!!! In the end, the best they would do is promise a refund in "two or three billing cycles" !!!!!!! Needless to say, I unloaded on them the problem of constant freeze-ups and resets by battery removal !!! NO SOLUTION !!!! I asked how they could expect someone to dedicate 6 hour dowloads two or three times a year - NO ANSWER, but the person confirmed that just to open that file on Windows Vista it would take over 1/2 hour!!!! Wow!!!! on mine , it went past 45 minutes and was still going, and I have a fast machine !!!!! So folks, I don't know about you- but I am through throwing money at Garmin and tollerating the bad service and nonexistant response. I don't do business with companies that don't care for their customers.... Next time it's another brand.......

I have created a Teamspeak server just for Venturerider members. It's like chat, only you speak instead of typing. It works great, and as many people can be on it as I allow at one time. Great for getting on and just shooting the bull. You can get it at www.teamspeak.com . You'll want to download the client, not the server. You will need either a headset with microphone, or a microphone with speakers. It is completely free. If you download it, and need help setting it up, just PM me, or catch me in the chat room, and I will talk you through it. My IP is monty.servegame.org the port is 8767 no password for now.
