Hey, The other day, as I was getting my riding gear on in the parking lot outside the Uxbridge Mac's milk store, I was approached by a guy who said his name was Doug and that he had an '84 Venture that was having overheating issues at highway speeds. He mentioned getting advice from an Intenet forum but I don't know if it was this one or the other one. I haven't read of such a recent post here but Doug, if you are reading this post, send me a PM and lets get together for a ride and or to put our heads together on your overheating problem. Cheers, Brian H.

My time as a Venture owner, that is. Today the 99 that I had listed in the classifieds was picked up by its new owner, a real nice guy named Doug from the Joliet, IL area. I was sad to see her go, but I know that Doug will give her a good home. Doug said that he has been here on the site a couple times checking things out, and was very impressed. I encouraged him to join, I think he'd fit right in. He seemed to be the kind of guy I'd enjoy riding with. BTW, his 10 year old daughter was just as excited as he was. She's a cutie and said she can't wait to go riding with Dad. Doug, if you're lurking let us know. Joe

I am bidding on a radio and tapeplayer for a 1983 venture on ebay. If i get it all I need is a few parts to make mine work. So if anyone needs some parts let me know and i will pass them on to you. It will be a couple days before the sale ends. IF i get it I will let you know. Doug

I called my local Yamaha shop to have them do a tune up and check my bike out.(1983 venture royale) They told me they will only change the tires and oil on my bike.I guess i will no longer go there to get parts. I have never thought a shop would turn down work because the bike is too old. Thanks just venting Doug

Has anyone tried them out on a first generation (83-85)? How were they? Thanks, Doug

I'm in the process of putting on Diamond R's levelling links. Are they supposed to be shorter than the originals? My OEM links are about a 1/4 inch longer than Diamond R's. I was assuming Diamond R's would be longer seeing as how they boost the height of the bike a bit. Thanks for any help. Doug
