Anybody ever do the Slab City thing out in Cali? We are thinking of draggin the bike out there this winter and staying a few weeks in the sun.. Any thoughts, do's or dont do's? We were told its free camping (from my experience with Cali that alone is really rare) so I am imagining a hippy compound kind of enviroment but dont know till ya ask.. thanks in advance scott

I need a few things for my new laptop running Vista home edition 32 bit. 1. A good USB serial cable adapter with drivers. 2. A terminal emulator program like hyper terminal or something else. 3. Will dos box run older programs? I'm trying to get the new laptop doing all I can. Tired of carrying two laptops just to maintain communications gear in the field. Now I got three computers on the truck.

i am looking for new front tire for my 1st gen and found this ? Dunlop Elite 3 130/70HB-18 Front GL1500 i know 1stgs use a 130 / 90 but dos a 70 have a shorter side wall than a 90 ? what do every body think ? Thom

I have read in past post there are some here that work with SQL. So this questions is for them. First off let me say, I'm not a comupter expert by any means. What little knowledge I have is "self taught". I have built a few "DOS" data bases, some of which are still in use. But I feel it's time to look into a Window Data Base software. So, I am playing around with 2005 express (to use as a back end) and then some other software as the UI (any suggestion would be great!). Maybe with a little more time I could answer my own question, but no one ever said I was patience. So, here's my question. Does SQL allow field calulations? Or is this all done in Scripts and Queries? In DOS a formula could be enter right into a field that would perform calulations based on information that had been entered into other fields. I have scanned thru a book, but never saw any reference to this. Chuck

got my 1st speed ticket in 21 years yesterday , i was in the rite lane , not passing anyone on a 4 lane , lots of cars around me , the speed limit drops from 60 to 55 to 50 to 45 in 1.5 miles . i ask him to ck. my DL , and it shows that i am a safe driver and please call in a 27 and it prove i am a good driver , he said that it dos not make a dif. if i am a safe driver , it is my turn to get a ticket , the law of averages . WHAT !! i was thinking all these years i did not have to be a good driver , to keep from getting tickets , i just wait for my turn ! after he wrote the ticket and gave it to me , he told me a story about a few years ago he came to the company i work for to pick up somebody on a wants and warrants and the manager stalled him so the bad guy could slip out the back and how he hounded the company until he cought the badguy , that was 3 managers ago ! by the way , i was driving the company truck and he stopped me in the company parking lot . he told me i was doing 53 in a 45 zone and i did not read the ticket until i cooled downed 2 hours later , the ticket said i was doing 58 in a 45 zone and my court date is 11/04/08 at 9am !!! that only gives me Monday to pay the 210 dollar fine ! So if you are in Rockport Tx. it do's not make a dif. if your a good driver and drive with flow of the trafic , it mite be your turn to get a ticket and or it mite be what the sign reads on your truck . Ok i feel beter now i have let off some steam , i know i could fight the ticket and with the rite lawyer i would win than i would make all of Rockport PD mad at me and i would have to move , but i kinda like this town so i'll just put my tail between my legs and pay the ticket . dos anyone pull a camper trailer with there RSV?? if so what kind do you have and how dos it pull dos it pull heavy or sway? inquiring minds want"s to know George C.

OK i need some help I seen somewhere where someone had posted where we can use a splitter cord and plug behind the faring to run a i-pod or other such equipment to. I've been locking but can't find it. dos anyone know where it is thanks George C.

hello all I'm about to pull the trigger on a 2008 Charcoal Silver,Royal Star Venture ,When it gets to the dealer. Is there anything that I need to no befor I do this?? Now I come from the sporty side, I run a FJR right now.My concern is how is this thing on real world power?? Dos it have enough or is it lacking? I plan on doing allot of 2up riding.That is y i am looking at a comfy Ride (for my wife). any and all input would be great, weather good or bad. Thanks George C.
