I am installing my new OEM passing lights on my '07 tomorrow. There is a tremendous amount of information here on relays, installation, etc. As usual, the fine folks at VR.org make seemingly tough jobs easy. I think I have all the answers I need except one... Dingy posted a great relays101 document here: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=43150 This document shows the diagram attached. I want to make sure I understand where I am going with terminal 85. I am going to run from 85 to my toggle switch and from my switch, I will tap into the wire of my choice detailed in the installation instruction chart attached. In my case, I want them on all the time so I will go from 85, to switch to Red/Yellow wire, correct? Thanks all!

As I continue to knock off items on my winter maintenance schedule, tonight I got to the carb balancing. I bought a Carbtune a few months back knowing that this day was coming. Using skydoc_17's document was the ticket to making this task a breeze. Thank Earl! I read the document a couple of times and located the all of the screws. I was pretty surprised at how far off the carbs were considering that it was running pretty well. 3&4 were pulling so much vacuum that the slides were pegged and 1&2 were way at the bottom. I actually had to do the 1/2 & 3/4 balance first just to get things in the ball park. After going back and forth a few times, this is where I ended up. http://www.raymondstacy.com/carbtune.jpg Once the weather breaks I will put some miles on it and check it again. The gen2 starter is working really well. All thats left is to change the oil and install skydoc_17's drain plug fix.. I should have my seat back from Rick Butler in a couple of weeks. I cant wait to take it for a spin!

I saw this over on a VTX forum. I wanted to post it here and see what the "ones in the know" know about it. It seems like a really simple solution to getting more out of stock speakers. What do you guys think? Scroll down to page 3 of the pdf document and check out what they recommend. The best I can understand it, it is recommended by the fairing manufacturer. If that's so, why don't they do it at the factory? I guess they consider it an option....

Question for you computer experts. When I go to a web site for an association I belong to and try to open a document the typical box opens. The options are "Save this file" and "Open using MS Word". Mine has always said Open with MS Word but now says open with "Windows Shell Common DII" or it could be D11. Any ideas what this may be? I do have MS Word on the laptop. EDIT: I saved the document I needed to My Documents and it went to a File Maker Pro file which is a program we use for this same association and a program I recently did some upgrades on. Any idea how to get this back to MS Word?

I tried searching the forum but could not find it, but does anybody have a copy of the document the dealer uses to do final assembly of the 2nd Gen RSV? I would like to read the document as I am just curious as to what the dealer has to install and adjust... It might help purchasers of new bikes to make sure the dealer did not do something wrong...
