I thought I ordered Ride-On a few yrs ago and got three bottles for around 21 bucks. Now lowest listing I can find is about 14 bucks a bottle. Has it raised that much??? This Garage is putting a major dent in my savings. Gotta watch it the Boss claims. Money for the Hot Tub and Big Screen is in jepordy.

Has anyone ever pulled a dent out of sheet metal? My wife has a dent in her vehicle and I heard that dry ice can shrink the metal and pop out the dent (not large), and was wondering if anyone has ever tried it. Thanks

The royal star is in the shop getting a new rear tire so I rode my daughter's not often driven 750 Vulcan to work today. I was driving through our little town just minding my own, thinking to myself just how much fun this bike is to ride, when the car in front of me decided to turn left into a convenience store. Its a good thing I slowed from 35 to about 20 mph to let him complete his turn. Just as he made his turn into the store a chevy blazer pulled out turning directly in front of me. I made a good sized dent in their passenger side door. In the process I pushed the bars way forward and hit the tank with my chest. There's a good sized dent there now too. The bike went down an I was knocked a few feet away, landing on my shoulder. Nothing's broken on me or the bike, just dented a little. He got the ticket and I got some ibuprofen. Both the bike an I should be ok in a day or two. My daughter is happy I didn't break the bike. So, I guess I owe the kitty some money, what's the going price?

Looks like we worked out a deal for Dan, (my 16 yoa son) buying a 2001 V-Star 650 Custom with just 5275 miles on it. The testing deal is for $2000.00 We will be going to Walnut Grove, MN on Saturday to check it out. If it runs ok and he fits on it, it will be trailered home. (high only 27 degrees forcast) The only problem I can see from the Craig's list pics is that it was laid down once and has a dent the fuel tank. I think, hope, that could be fixed easily. If not, I think we could locate a replacement. Pinwall more than likely. Wish us luck Dave

A couple weeks ago, I had a 5 gallon bucket seat that I use for hunting fall out of the rafters and hit the tank on my bike. Of course the soft cushion seat couldn't hit it, it was the bottom of the bucket and it left a dent. Any idea where I can get a replacement? A friend of mine owns a dent remobal company and didn't think he could remove it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.....made me sick!

Hi all, I have a 2000 venture with a couple small dents in the tank. How they got there is beyond me? The first dent is about 1" away from the center black strip edge running down the middle of the tank. The second small dent is about 2" away from the center strip edge. The dents are located on the right hand side of the tank maybe 10" up from the seat. My questions are, is there a bib available? or would a tank bib from a tour deluxe work? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

A friend of mine has this bike, and the gas tank "collapsed inward" - then mostly popped back out - but there is still a visiable dent of there. Does anyone know if a) a dent repair place can fix that type of thing (being it is a gas tank would that hurt the integrity of the tank) - b) is that gas tank interchangable with another STAR model gas tank (I believe it is the smaller 3.8 gallon tank). I have looked on EBAY for her, only couple of scratched up tanks, just trying to gather couple of ideas. Sorry, at the moment, I don't have a picture of this problem. Any ideas / suggestions would be helpful - thank you in advance.

I hate admitting to this but I need to get it fixed so here goes. Back this early summer I finally got a chance to get out and ride for three days. Weather forecast was good and I was pumped. I had been working so many hours and neglecting the bike that NOTHING was going to stand in my way of this ride. Well, I pulled the bike out the day before to wash it and get it packed. Turns out the battery was dead and it appeared it may be a battery tender issue. I jumped it and drove it for 30 minutes and it seemed to be fine. Got up the next morning and had to jump it and it started right up. Every time I tried to put it in gear it would die on me. After jumping it 3 times and it dying all 3 times I'm afraid to say I punched the gas tank. Just below the gas cap. Well my big mitts put a good dent in the tank and I can see some slight cracks in the paint. Needless to say I was ready to punch myself after this. I guess what I'm looking for can this dent be pulled out without going to a professional using a dent puller or am I pretty much screwed needing a professional? And yes, I did learn a lesson. Punch the wife next time instead. J/K.

well i went and done it now.. while putting away Dianne,s bike. after being a good boy and cleaning the garage. i put a rake up in the rafters well i guess i didnt get it up there good enough?? i placed both bikes in the garage with hers right under that damn rake.. i closed the garage door and heard a crash!!! so i went back in the side door and there it was rake hit her gas tank. nice. scratch and about a quarter size dent..... so how much will a body shop charge me to paint and fix the dent? its silver in color if that makes any differance? my mistake i have to man up to it... well since shes still up in north dakota her arms cant reach that far to smack me upside the head.. that will teach her to leave me .. almost have her talked into not staying up there... she hates them 12 to 14 hr shifts. but loves being with her mom.. just hope i can that tank painted for under $100 bucks i hope? or as close to that amount as possible..

After my 'deer hunting' incident, where the deer's head had wrapped around my forks and put a baseball size dent (about 2" deep) in the right side of the tank, I talked to a couple of body shops and 'paintless' dent repair places. None seemed to want to do the job, so frustrated went on-line and found a couple of ideas. The first item http://www.ehow.com/how_6462615_use-dent-motorcycle-gas-tank.html was using heat and liquid CO2 to pop the dent. Went to Staples and got a 4-pak of dust-off and borrowed the old-lady's hair dryer. After about 3 cans of air the dent had come out at least half way. Then I attacked it with my Dent King kit which I already had. http://www.ehow.com/how_2098332_repair-dent-motorcycle-tank.html Working from the 12 O'clock position and going around a few times (12, 3, 6, etc.) the rest of the dent came out . Saved big $$$'s and got the satisfaction of doing myself .

Well, its a snow day, i have a heated garage, and during the summer my friend hit a mailbox with the car i sold him. It shattered his window and left a pretty big dent in both him and the car. I was on my dads 05 GL 1800 when he called and told me, as soon as he told me he was bleeding, i new i needed to hurry. I got on the GL, and i tell you what, that is a quick bike!!! But i digress, we are going to pull the dent out of the side, with a kit, puddy it, sand the small parts and repaint the holes, we also have to do some work on the power window, the motor is still good, but the dent doesn't let it go down. One time though, we were driving around in the freezing cold and someone had pushed down on the window too long, we hit a bump and down came that new window! When were done with that, were going to pull the pipes off my 85, straight off from the catalitic converter, they are going back on though, i just want to hear that muscle car sound!
