Atlanta's biggest fundraiser of the year for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation is coming up next weekend. It's a motorcycle ride. If Deltoid was still with us in body the way he is in spirit, I know what he would do. He would give and he would ride. I invite all of my SC Brothers and sisters to join us in supporting Deltoid's Team. This is our way of giving back to Mike. Chip Oehring has set up a website where, if you feel so inclined, you can make a donation to PBTF in Deltoid's name. Our goal is $2000 and we are only 10% of the way there. Any amount at all is appreciated. The web address is: http://www.firstgiving.com/deltoidsteam The other way you can help... and we'd really like to see you there... is to come ride with us on June 6. The Atlanta Ride For Kids will be Sunday June 6. It starts at North Pointe Mall (exit 9 off GA400 in Alpharetta. Registration begins at 7am and first bike out is at 0930. This will be a rain-or-shine ride and is LEO-escorted. We will end at Lumpkin County High School in Dahlonega for lunch. Residence Inn by Marriott is the host hotel and is offering very attractive rates. More info and better detail can be found at: http://www.pbtfus.org/rideforkids/calendar/2010/atlanta.html Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Bill "RedThreat" Gaskin PGR

As many of you know we lost a great friend and brother a little over 2 years ago to brain cancer. Mike "Deltoid" Bland was one of a kind and we miss him terribly. Last year I decided to make one particular ride a dedication to Mike. The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation's "Ride For Kids" is a fund raiser that gives all it's money to research for a cure for Pediatric brain cancer. I can't think of a better way to honor my friend than to make sure his bike is on that ride and to raise as mush money as possible in his name. Last year we raised a little over $1000. I hope to double that this year. This year the ride will be returning to the North side of town. On June 6th the ride will start at the North Point Mall and end in Dahlonega at Lumpkin HS. It would be awesome if we could get a number of riders there this year to ride in Mike's name. I have set up a fund raising site for "Deltoid's Team" at: http://www.firstgiving.com/deltoidsteam Please visit and donate if you feel lead but please don't feel obligated. Mike would never want that. Follow your heart, Mike always did. For additional information check out the PBTF site at: http://www.pbtfus.org/rideforkids/calendar/2010/atlanta.html Thanks everyone and I hope I see many of you there this year.
