Well, on this coming Friday, I will be retired from the Military Reserves. Sometime next year, I will be undergoing retraining over in Alberta. There is no big rush to do it, as I don't want to do the training, in below freezing temps. I still need to decide, on where I take the course, near Red Deer or up at Ft Mac.

Looking at these 2 pictures it is really kind of weird how much Dano and me look alike. Look and decide

--- On Thu, 11/25/10, So true, so True. and a happy thanksgiving, before i forget lowell Subject: AAADD You have to be retired to appreciate this one. AAADD - KNOW THE SYMPTOMS Thank goodness there is a name for this disorder. Somehow I feel better even though I have it!! Recently, I was diagnosed with A.A.A.D.D. Age Associated Attention Deficit Disorder. This is how it manifests: I decide to water my garden. As I turn on the hose in the driveway, I look over at my car and decide it needs washing. As I start toward the garage, I notice mail on the porch table that I brought up from the mailbox earlier. I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car. I lay my car keys on the table, put the junk mail in the garbage can under the table, and notice that the can is full. Therefore, I decide to put the bills back on the table and take out the garbage first. Then I think, since I am going to be near the mailbox when I take out the garbage anyway, I may as well pay the bills first. I take my check book off the table, and see that there is only one check left. My extra checks are in my desk in the study, so I go inside the house to my desk where I find the can of Pepsi I had been drinking. I am going to look for my checks, but first I need to push the Pepsi aside so that I do not accidentally knock it over. The Pepsi is getting warm. I decide to put it in the refrigerator to keep it cold. As I head toward the kitchen with the Pepsi, A vase of flowers on the counter catches my eye. They need water. I put the Pepsi on the counter and discover my reading glasses that I have been searching for all morning. I decide I better put them back on my desk, but first I'm going to water the flowers. I set the glasses back down on the counter, fill a container with water and suddenly spot the TV remote someone had left it on the kitchen table. I realize that tonight when we go to watch TV, I'll be looking for the remote, but I won't remember that it's on the kitchen table, so I decide to put it back in the den where it belongs .. But first I'll water the flowers. I pour some water in the flowers. Quite a bit of it spills on the floor. So, I set the remote back on the table, Get some towels and wipe up the spill. Then I head down the hall trying to remember what I was planning to do. At the end of the day: The car isn't washed The bills aren't paid There is a warm can of Pepsi sitting on the counter the flowers don't have enough water, there is still only 1 check in my check book, I can't find the remote, I can't find my glasses, And I don't remember what I did with the car keys. Then, when I try to figure out why nothing got done, I'm really baffled because I know I was busy all day, and I'm really tired. I realize this is a serious problem, and I'll try to get some help for it, but first I'll check my e-mail.... Do me a favor. Forward this message to everyone you know, Because I don't remember who I've sent it to.. Don't laugh -- if this isn't you yet, your day is coming!!

Black Owl told me he has been fielding some questions about the trailer for the 2010 Int'l Rally that we're raffling off. Since this is my deal, I'll do my best to explain it. The supplier of the trailer is Time Out Trailers. They're a local manufacturer of the CycleMate line of motorcycle cargo trailers and Timeout motorcycle camping trailers. The deal I worked out with the owner is that we will receive a voucher good for $1500.00 towards any of their trailers. They produce about 12 different cargo trailers and 2 campers. I will post a link to their website at the end of this post. Whoever wins the trailer raffle will have to contact Timeout and can then decide what they want. You will be able to actually hand over the voucher and walk away with a base trailer or you can use it towards a higher end trailer or even a camper. However you decide it's worth $1500.00. We figured this would be easier than trying to get a certain trailer. This way the winner can decide what's the best deal for them. I hope this explains how the deal will work a little better. Questions? Let me know. I live in Elkhart and would be available to help out the raffle winner anyway I can. You can see their line of trailers here: http://timeouttrailers.org/default.aspx

I don't think I've ever seen this question asked. I'm curious because it was time to replace Eileen's car and we looked at a lot of vehicles trying to decide what to buy this time. I pretty much left it up to her but it got me wondering what the rest of you here drive. So....what are you driving and are you happy with it?

Just to let you all know, TODAY, 25 YEARS AGO, WAYNE & ROBIN TIED THE KNOT. :happy65: They plan to celebrate by going on a ride,,,, they've had quite a ride so far and it seems they've enjoyed it very much, but tonite it's a MC ride. Join us if you like. I suppose it'll be up to me again to decide where to ride to, but we are riding from Marcarl's I guess. After all it is Tuesday and my knee has had enough relaxation, and Scamper is biting at the bit. So CONGRATULATIONS you two, now for the next 25.

I've decided to sell the chrome rotor covers I have and one set of caliper covers once I decide which set I want to keep. Rotor covers have had lights removed and are slightly scratched from someone trying to clean them up. Just never got around to installing them. Got to decide if I want to keep original Ventureline caliper covers or aftermarket ones I currently have on the bike. Will post pictures as soon as I can find my camera.

As the temps dip down into the 30's at night here in the Carolinas, I was wondering what is the coldest temp that you've ridden in? With my normal gear on, which is basically a leather jacket and leather gloves, I decide that yesterdays 40 degrees was a bit too cold - but I was pretty good this morning at 46 degrees.
