    For those out there that may have missed the information in the DAV magazine.. All DAV and DAVA Members can receive a free ticket to the EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh Wi this yearGo to the main DAV web site and under air shows find the link to the EAA site.. These tickets are for Friday July 30th. The Lt Dan Band (actor Gary Sinise) Will be playing that day

    Ok folks here it is, the winner of the DAV rafflebike is Doug Jones from Wartburg Tn (pronounced whatburg). Mr Jones is an elderly gentleman, who will probably give the bike to his son. He rode the bike home last night. Liz asked him to wait a moment for her to go get a camera, when she came back outside, he was already gone.So no pics, sorry. It doesn't matter anyhow, as the DAV raised $2900 thru this raffle, and that was the whole point. Thanks to everyone who bought a ticket for this, and thanks for the support. Liz, Joe, & DAV chapter 26. By the way, I could never have sold an '89 1st gen with 89000 miles on it for $2900!!!

    Liz & I donated our '89VR to the Disabled American Veterans today. The DAV is going to raffle it off with the drawing being on the 4th of July. It was donated because we bought pilothawks bike, I can't ride 2 and it's too big for Liz. The Bike comes as pictured minus the backrest, luggage rack and macs. I replaced the macs with the stock pipes that were on the new to us 89. This is a chance to get a nice bike for next to nothing. Fly in and ride it home. The DAV is a non profit organization so sorry, no Paypal. Tickets are $10, and you can send a check or money order to DAV Chapter 26, PO Box 533 Oliver Springs Tn, 37840 Good Luck.
