The Bad this week: Wife rear-ended in daughter's car (sore neck) Accidentally paid off credit card (-$3500) (clicked pay balance instead of make payment) Car broken in to (iPad stolen/window broken) The good this week: No damage to daughter's car Less debt No one hurt when wife's car was broken in to All in all, they were just possessions...we still have our health and faith, but are glad that the series of three's is done! Hopefully we are in for some good luck now!

drivers bags for a 1st Edition. You know, the leather pouches that attach just in front of the driver's knees. I had them off while performing some mods and my daughters new Golden Retriever puppy got to them. Now the bags are scattered out in various locations throughout the property. Darn. I will pay dearly.

My 11 year old Daughter has been visiting her mother all week and today when I picked her up had to give her some bad news. When I came home Saturday night from riding I noticed the screen on the kitchen window was ripped apart. Went in the house and the kitchen and living room was a mess and cat fur everywhere. Looks like one of the stray cats around here came through the screen to get at my Daughters cat. We have some neighbors that get cats, have litters and turns them loose to fend for them self. Daughters cat has NEVER been out of the house except to go to the Vets. This long hair white cat has been fighting with about everything that moves around here and most of the cat fur in the house looked like it was from Daughters cat and the other was long white fur. I can't find her cat anywhere and all I can figure is her cat ended up going out the window also. Finally got my Daughter to sleep but I don't think that will last long. Never saw a kid and cat play like they did. I guess I could go on and on how much that cat meant to her, I never really liked cats much but that one was OK. So sorry no motorcycle story but just unloaded. You all know sometimes it hard to watch your children hurt so much.....Thanks

Made this one for Mom (Deb). this was my daughter's first formal, so I followed her around all day with the cameras, and you know how teenage girls love that, she ragged at me all day. But when she viewed it she gave me a big hug and awwww how sweet, so I was forgiven and Mamma had a tear in here eye so I knew I done good. Anyway, she growing up and hopes she enjoys this look back many years down the road! [ame=http://www.vimeo.com/1890878]First Formal on Vimeo[/ame]

So many threads about things that have gone wrong or need fixed I thought I'd go the other way. (I do this periodically) Unlike some of you (sorry ) I have the ability to ride year around. And I tell you, this RSV is just rock solid. It always starts, it always goes, it's always smooth, it's always comfortable. It always does whatever I ask of it. It is a fantastic scoot. I just flipped 50K on it. I took one of my daughters out yesterday on a 200 mile ride pulling the trailer (I was working actually). It feels good when all you have to do is concentrate on the road and the scenery and not have to worry about your bike. Here's to you folks in the frozen parts of the Mainland to a quick spring so you can get out and ride your RSV!

Well, I finally broke down and tore the back of my 89 royale apart to see what all the talk about the dryer was . well, my dssecant beads were as pretty pink as the walls in my daughters room. So I put it in the microwave and it came out nice and blue. A lot of work for I dont know what benefits.

I want to share a couple of good things from today. Just back home after an 822kms (500+miles) ride today out of a 2,000kms (1250 miles) 4 days away with my 4 brothers on bikes. Beautiful weather and a numb bum. That's the first highlight. The second highlight - my (only) daughter's boyfriend of 9 years rang me and asked for her hand in marriage. Couldn't say no, but I did thank him for asking. Ain't that sweet?

I had known Don Spiker for about 15 years. He passed away while I was on my midwest trip last July, he was 73. Don and I have spent many Sunday mornings together and I enjoyed this gentle soul very much. We hung out at the Michaels restaurant parking lot, the usual gathering spot for about 300 motorcycles, in Chapel Hill, NC. Our backgrounds were very close, we both had two daughters, have ridden bikes since the 1960s, and both worked at carburetor factorys most of our working lives. I enjoyed his companionship and his wit. He leaves his daughters, and a grandchild he finished putting through college just this May. I think he hung on until this last great goal was completed. I watched as my friends health declined. I knew the end was near, however, I was still caught off guard by his death. Ride on dear friend, with clear roads, and the wind always at your back. I will miss you, and remember you until I die........
