ok before I ask I already feel really stupid..... When checking the engine oil onmy 06 thru the little sight window should the oil level be between the lines when it is leaning on the stand or when the bike is straight up and down ? I am going to assume until one of you guys enlighten me that it is while on the stand...since you can't hold the darn thing up whilst standing on your head to see the window hidden behind the frame tube. Thanks for the help....more dumb questions to come. Kenny

On a spur of the moment ride; The wife and I met BigBoyinMS and his wife this morning and we rode to Hattiesburg, MS (about 90 miles). His wife wanted to do some shopping at a discount outlet. I told him he was wise to bring her on the bike. We had lunch and rode home. Highway patrol was everywhere!!! Darn it, forgot the camera , but did take one, not so good, picture with the cell phone.

Is there any valid reason why I can't bypass the fuel pump with a gravity feed setup and leave it like that for good? Midnight Venture-2006. Boomer.....still sitting and fuming over this darn problem.....

Here's my new custom seat. The materials are easy to find and assembly is about 2-3 minutes. Just kidding, Had my seat Down to Rick getting the "Butt Butler" treatment and the weather here in SE Michigan was pretty darn good for early April (70-80 deg) I just couldn't let it set in the garage. Now I know what it feels like to live in the north, this weather in the midatlantic is driving me crazy. The bike hasn't been out of the garage since before Christmas. It took me 5 hours with the tractor to dig out the driveway on Sunday and now where getting more. The wind is going to get high and blow it around as well. Where starting to blame the darn Groundhog.

I hope someone here can steer me in the proper direction. I have a 2000 Ford Explorer Limited that I purchased about 2 years ago. It has the reverse sensing unit on it, where it beeps if you get close to anything backing up. I would like to find out how to set the darn thing so that the default is OFF. With cold weather setting in, the blankity thing is beeping at me from the exhaust steam. It is driving me nuts!!!!!!!! Any knowledge about these systems here? Thanks, Dave

As some of you remember and though I was CRAZY in this last thread, http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=32974 I took the template and some advise from some of you folks and came up with a formed 1" round stainless steel rod. Then I had a bracket placed were the kick stand goes. (off set under there as well) then had the Darn thing Chromed. (Thanks Mike for bring that part back) great guy! Wife is very happy that she now can extend her legs outward It also does not get in my way. I almost had it figured out a way for the kickstand not to hit the darn thing when up.. gave up since I did my Trike Conversion last month and had the kickstand removed anyways. Just thought I would share my finished results. Wife tried then today on about a 100 mile ride. she loved them! I also placed a Shinny New Quarter one each side. one from Iowa were we live now and the other from were we came from. Calif. The support strength from this new bracket is stronger then the ones that I have up front, off the crash bar. Take a look! the last few are from under. Still trying to up-load pics folks.. something is wrong.. not working right today.. Jeff

The plane evidently went in the Hudson river. Not sure how this happened. Just started showing it on one of the news channels. Looks like everyone got out and the darn thing is floating. Good thing so the folks can get out. That waters got to be really cold. Margaret

Who out there has a Smoker and uses it? I just got mine a few weeks ago and I'm still in the learning stages. I did smoke a pretty darn good chicken last week. I am open for tips, ideas and secrets.

I have a program on my computer that I don't know where it came from and I can't get rid of it. And it's a real pain the A**. It's mIRC, I know what it is but I want it off my computer, gone..... Control panel doesn't work and I've searched all over their web site and can't find out how to get rid of this darn thing. It seems to be taking over the computer. Thanks in advance, Jerry By the way, you don't have to be a geek to give me the right answer. Anyone will do.......
