New to these bikes.
Hightekrednek posted a topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I have A 1983 venture royale. Bike was knocked over before I got it runs good but all the plastic is destroyed so I've decided to make a bobber. But I absolutely hate the bars that are on it. And I can't seem to locate a proper fitting top triple tree or a bracket to mount different bars on it. Also looking for some ideas for a forward control mod before I just go ham fabricating a set up for it. Thank you all in advance and if there is already a thread for this please drop a link and I'll look there. -
I actually have two of them to sell. One is based on the current cruiser styling of the RSV and the other an updated version of the first gen Venture. Both of these bikes have custom and slightly modernized body work. Both are fitted with mildly modified 1600CC VMax engines. Fuel injected, ABS Brakes, 600 watt stators, heated grips, power adjustable windshields, patented firmness control seat firmness, built in audio with 5 x 7 speakers front and rear and integrated satellite radio and MP3 players with 32GB of storage. Power center stands are also standard on both models. There are many other state of the art features that are all standard equipment but much to extensive to go into here. There is only one SMALL catch. These bikes are invisible. You will therefore not be able to see or actually use them but you WILL get a full description of the bike listing all features and specifications as well as the custom color of your choice. I figure if this guy can get away with selling invisible art, I should be able to sell a few invisible motorcycles. Please place your orders early...supplies are indeed limited...oh heck...no they aren't.....I've got THOUSANDS of them ready to sell. http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2011/06/23/james-franco-creates-invisible-art/?test=faces

Hi everybody, Just installed my new custom radiator cover by one of our own fine meber venders,[steve Wagner]. If you dont have one of these on your RSV, you have to check it out. Best money I have spent to date on making my 99 look better. Always hated that bare old radiator look. This custom fab fiberglass paintrd to match is awsome. Installs in seconds and looks super expensive.

I'm looking at getting the 100 LED brake light and the integrated LED run/brake/turn signals from Custom Dynamics. Rear Signal lights - Dynamic Cluster - "The Dynamic Clusters will fit into your turn signal housings. You will need to find out if you have 1156 or 7507 bulbs in the rear. Now for the running and brake of the cluster you will have to hard wire that in. The signal light just plugs in. You will also need a load equalizer or a metric signal stabilizer. The Metric Signal Stabilizer will not produce any heat. That will allow you to run your 4 ways flashers and not do any damage. If you leave the front turn signals stock. It will NOT cause any issue. If you just do the rear LEDs you will only need one load equalizer. If you decide to do the front turn signals at a latter date you will need a load equalizer for the front." http://www.customdynamics.com/motorcycle_dynamic_clusters.htm GEN200-AR-7507-T $81/pair *** confirm signal lighbulb type - other option is GEN200-AR-1156-T See the following link to identify bulb type - http://www.customdynamics.com/bulb_identification_help.htm http://www.customdynamics.com/loadequalizer.htm#Universal Turn Signal GEN-7.5-30 $15.25 100 LED Brake light - "The GEN-100-1157 YAM tail light is a direct replacement for your tail light and will not require any modules" http://www.customdynamics.com/Yamaha_tail_retro.htm GEN-100-1157YAM - $89.95 There are discount codes available on the Internet that give a 5% discount on orders over $150. I've asked them if it is possible to set one up for VentureRiders.org but since there is no "payback" to the site it probably doesn't matter. The code I found that works is "rswarrior". I'll update this if they provide a special one for us. I am not associated with Custom Dynamics and am providing this information for members so they have the details in one thread should they want to upgrade to LED. Free shipping to the U.S.. To Canada only option is UPS Expedited at $32.95 (site says no brokerage fee). I've asked if they will ship USPS to Canada. Another member also mentioned to tell them that the bike has a radio on it so they will apply an RF coating to the wiring. Response from Custom Dynamics (and they have been very responsive!) "If you use the load equalizer there will be no interferance. If you were to use our Signal Stabilizer I would get the RF coating. That will do away with any chances of getting any RF noise"

Hi Guys, I've been trying to put some custom routes into my nuvi 765T. I can do it by scrolling through the GPS itself and reordering the points manually, but that takes forever on the small screen. Especially with my big fingers! So I tried using Mapquest to put my custom routes into it. Selecting and/or editing my route on Mapquest works great. But when I "Send" the custom route to my GPS, it comes out as the route the GPS selects for me and NOT the route I laid out using Mapquest. I'm using Firefox and even added the "Garmin Communicator Plugin" to my browser, but no luck. Anybody here know a simple or easier way to get my custom routes into my GPS? Software, website, etc. Thanks, Bill

I wanted to personalize our riding jackets & I came across a FANTASTIC source for custom patches & such http://arizonabikerleathers.com/ I actually found them on EBay http://myworld.ebay.com/arizonabikerleathers?_trksid=p2047675.l2559 The place is owned by George & Ann Ziegler. They made my custom name patch for $4.99 SHIPPED!! I had my choice of background color, border thread color, as well as Letter forn & thread color. Made same day & shipped same day! The glue is right to the edge & holds the patch SOLID I just set the iron to max, used a thin towel to cover. Preheated the material, placed the patch covered it with the towel 8 seconds repeat & let cool before touching. Here's a few pix of our jackets: Highly recommended

My wife would like to install a set of risers on her 2006 vstar1100 custom. Barrons has a set that gives 2" pull back without a rise that might work. It looks like all the control lines will still be usable. Anybody have any other suggestions. I put a set of Motorcycle Larry riser/triple clamps on my fjr and they worked great but can't seem to see anything for the 1100 there. If you have a riser in mind but it might need longer cables please let me know about them as well just warn me I will need longer cables. I think 2 inchs back and an inch or so up would be about right. Al

12997.1 I bought a pair of the Custom Dynamics 162 LED Passing light replacement Bulbs while I was home on R&R. I tried to install them with no luck. My issue with them is that they will not stay in the housings. I have the H-3 bulbs in them and not the actual par 36 lamp. Custom Dynamics says they will fit both housings. Has anyone had a problem installing these replacement lights? I did not have time to call CD for technical support. A friend of mine is going to attempt to install them for me. Any guidance or assistance will be appreciated. Gunner

I just installed some LED turn signals/running rights from custom dynamics. Now I've got a yellow looking head light. I'm looking for a head light that'll cut the darkness like a knife. I'm not an electrician I just want a plug and play head light that's bright and doesn't draw to many amps. I was thinking about the Piaa lights from custom dynamics does any one have them and like them what one do you have? Part number if you have it also..

Anyone know where one can get stainless steel or chrome channeled U shape long bracket (The U channel be 1 in X 1 in X 1 in and about the length of the rear trunk mount) where it could be mounted under the far rear of the trunk mount so the open end is to the front on the bike and the closed end is facing the rear of the bike where I could install from Custom Dynamics Sequential Amber LED Turn Signals on the ends and in the center a Custom Dynamics LED Stop Lamp. Then under the bracket I could install a couple of white lights hooked to a push switch where I can get the attention of cagers approaching dangerously. Even an L shape bracket would work. Or maybe someone has a good suggestion as to where one could mount the lights described, except drilling into the plastic trunk for an MKII.

Now, pity the fool who says "sorry, I didn't see you".. He'll deserve the beating he'll get.. 6000k single bulb double action HID kit from http://canadiancruisercustomizing.com/ (35W only) The 4.5" LED highway lights are from Custom Dynamics. (12w each) the super bright LED 'always on, signal off' signal lights also Custom Dynamics and the little bullet lights at the bottom are also from http://canadiancruisercustomizing.com/ (4w each) This is what I meant by presenting a large blob of light at oncoming traffic.. this is much more noticeable and attention getting than a single 55W headlight.. When seen sideways, there is a big glow of white in front of the bike and front wheel plus the side marker lights and the wrap around glow of the super bright tail lights... Will this prevent me from getting into an accident? Will this ensure I'll never get hit by an inattentive driver? Hell no.. but it should help justify the beating I'll give him when standing before the Magistrate (just kidding... a little) Your mileage may differ, this set up is gosh awesome bright and illuminates the highway like no one else's business.. AWESOME!!

Boy ooh boy. We went down to the dealer and bought a brand spanking new Sorento (2011) Saturday 16th. Wife was side swipped tonight Wed 20th. Please see pic below. What do we do ??? I know its value is less now even if it gets fixed to my satisfaction. It was not our fault. Other person was sited with tickets from Mo highway patrol. Never been through this before....It has 400 miles on it. We had custom pinstripe and 6 yr paint protection added http://www.kia-forums.com/images/smilies/sad.gif Body lines do not line up, it is pulling to the right really bad, slight vibration when driving now, neither door opens properly now. Pics do not show the entent of damages. http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a1d901b3127ccefdfdf7adcdb700000030O08AZtmjJo0aOAe3nws/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/ http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a1d901b3127ccefdfc5bd26ce200000030O08AZtmjJo0aOAe3nws/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/ http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a1d901b3127ccefdfdd6138d8100000030O08AZtmjJo0aOAe3nws/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/

I told him that I would post this to see if any of you all knew of this bike for sale here in the Morehead,Ky general area, say 150-200 miles out or so. Perhaps you may have one ? Thank you in advance. I thought this would be the place to post such a question, since it is not Venture or Tour Deluxe or Gold-wing related. Fuzzy

HI Everyone, I'm new here- I'm a little bored with my Roadstar and found someone with with a Royalstar that wants to trade me. He came by my work, we rode each other bikes around the parking lot, so far so good. Tomorrow we are gonna take a longer ride at lunch and if things are as they seem, we will trade strait across. Both bike have around 50k miles. Is there some crazy maintenance I'll have to do with the Royalstar? ANything I need to look for? Both bikes have apes, and are quite customized. Mine has stretched harley bags, tricky air custom fenders, exhaust and his has custom wheels, fenders and stereo. I think I just want things a little simpler, just get on and go. I almost created too much of a custom bike. I always have scraping in the back of my mind with the bags and air, and it's loud as heck. And if my girl is on the back- oh geez- even more to worry about. Anyways, that why I'm here- doing my due diligence on this trade. Thanks for your time. All, gas prices being what they are, I am riding to work every day I possibly can. Problem is I have to wear business attire at my job. Any advice on how to pack a days worth of dress clothes so it wont look like it came out of the hamper when I get to work? My ride is 30 mins or so. I can't afford a custom riding suit so thats not an option. I ride in chaps and can only imagine what my slacks would look like after a ride in those. Thanks for any advice or experiences!
