A HUGE thanks to BigBear for taking the time to create these videos. There are 4 versions here. They are similar but he did some editing in an attempt to create smaller files. I decided to upload them to YouTube so am just going to link all 4. Putting them on YouTube will save us a TON of bandwidth. I just ran across this when I was looking through my MC stuff in the garage and thought it may of use to some of you. You can create your own list and check it off as you go. Check it out http://micapeak.com/checklists/

I just bought a 1999 Venture this week, there's a problem with the cassette deck. The PO got a cassette stuck in the thing and couldn't get it out. As a result, it won't turn off, and the battery will drain in 3 days. His solution was to wire a switch into the fairing that turned power off to the radio/cassette. The problem with this is I loose the FM channel presets when I turn the switch off. I'd like to remove the cassette and create a space for my MP3 player. If I unplug the cassette, will the radio still function? or do I need to jumper some pins on the plug? Thanks, D.W.

So my wife works for a guy who produces golf training aids (orangewhiptrainer.com). They are trying to find a better way to adhere a rubber mat to a plastic shell. Seems to me there should be something out there which will create a permanent chemical bond other then glue. Anybody out there know anything about plastics? Btw, I'm asking on my own, not at the request of my wife or her boss. Thanks

Anyone know what the plastic thing is call at the end of a guy line? It is oval or rectangular w/ 2 holes in it that you feed the guy line through. Yes I know it is not necessary to create a loop to tie a stake to, but just wanting to know what it is called.

I have been searching everywhere that I can find for this Owners Manual for over a year now with no luck. I have downloaded the PDF for the '83 manual which is a help, but would like the correct manual for my '88 Venture. If anyone still has an Owners Manual for an '88 Venture and would be willing to part with it for a short while, I would be willing to scan it, create a PDF, post the PDF here for all to use, and I will pay the shipping of your manual both ways. Any takers??? Please Jeff Borowski

I am planning my 8 day September ride from Calgary to Las Vegas. I was playing with different map tools that are available on the web. I stumbled across the Harley Davidson Rider Planner tool. http://www.harley-davidson.com/wcm/Content/Pages/Ride_Planner/Ride_Planner.jsp?locale=en_US I have been using it to map out my trip and have found it to be very useful. You need to create a profile if you want to save your plans. They will even let you create a profile if you ride something other than a Harley.
