I'm getting ready to make some leveling links and got to thinking about the reports of the shock going bad. Has anyone had the links on when it failed? Did Yamaha have any issues covering the shock under warranty? Maybe I should put the stock links back on before sending it to the shop if/when the shock fails?

I recently purchased a 1993 VR. On the right hand side, part of the water coolant lines, I noticed a grayish tape around a joint. I took the gray tape off to get a better look at what it was covering. Is this tape normal? If so, I guess I'll need to know what kind of tape to put back on. If it's not normal, any thoughts on what I should to do fix what he was covering up. Thank you. file:///C:/Users/sean/AppData/Local/Microsoft/Windows/Temporary%20Internet%20Files/OLK3A13/IMAG0130.jpgI have attached a photo for explanation.

Whenever I have to stay overnight in the Hospital my co-pay is a automatic $1067.00. With me in the hospital last November and the upcoming surgery on January 23rd that is $2134.00 in Hospital co-pays. I applied for help with the co-pays through the Hospital and this morning they called and told me I was approved. They are wiping out the November one and covering any Hospital co-pays for the next 6 months so that will cover the surgery co-pay. Still have to pay all the doctors and tests co-pays but covering that $2134.00 sure takes a load of my mind. Merry Christmas to me. Also Merry Christmas to the entire Venture.org Family.

I'm rapping it in plastic, to protect it form rain, Then covering it over with Fabric, Bows & Garland. I'm also installing skies (Runnins) after I check the height off the bike. and battery opt. lights

So awhile ago, I replaced my stator. I did not put any kind of sealant around the plug that the wires go through. I remember having a dickens of a time getting the wires through those plug holes! The wires are covered by some kind of woven material...but I managed. Now after returning from a 6 day trip, I find I get a few drops of oil, under the side stand. I removed the cover, and the wires coming out of the stator have a covering over them, rubber or vinyl or something of that sort. When I squeezed this covering, it was saturated with oil, and a lot came out. I am thinking that since it was full, it would continue dripping. Now that I have squeezed oil out, it will probably take awhile to saturate the covering again. Finally to the question....would it help to apply silicone or gasket seal material to the outside of the wires where they exit the stator? I probably will never get all the oil and grease off the outside of the wires and am not sure if this stuff would stick, or even do any good. Whats the concensus? Just put up with the drips once in awhile, or try and stop it? Sorry for long winded story. Thanks.
