Put carbs back on bike after removal for exterior cleaning. I did not go into carbs but did seperate the bank. After putting back on bike I noticed my throttle was slow to come back. I adjusted cables and the same thing. Both carb #1 and #2 I noticed that the springs connecting the throttle wheel and connecting the linkage on #2 where not tight. I am pretty sure that is my issue. Now...I dont know why or how they are loose. This might be a stupid question but is this associated with the TPS sensor by any chance. I did not remove the TPS nore bracket connected to #2. I am confused and I am sure I am going to have to remove the bank again but I would like some info on what I need to do. Thanks again!!!

Hey, fellas. Today I built the bracketry to mount a first gen stand as per Freebird's excellent tech article. I have, however, run into something Freebird never encountered, and he suggested I post here to find out what to do. As you can see, the charcoal cannister has to come off to make room for the stand. Seems like connecting the 2 hoses together is probably the way to go, but I'm afraid it will change the way it runs. The cannister is vented to air, so should I put a tee down there? Any suggestions to keep me from messing things up would be appreciated!

After reading all the pros/cons about lowering the RSV I bought a Barons rear lowering kit. The instructions aren't the greatest (no pics) so I have a couple of questions on the install. - relocating the brake caliper: is it necessary to remove the mufflers to take out the rear axle? - removing the connecting arms: with the rear wheel off the ground (unweighted), when I remove the bolts for the connecting arms what prevents the wheel from dropping further down or do I have to support the wheel?? With bike in netural and clutch out it rattles alot. When I pull the clutch in it makes alot less noise. Should I be concerned? Though it was a connecting rod bearing or cam but it wasn't. Gene Weir

Ok folks; I have a question concerning the xm roady ll as far as connecting it to the second gen. I am currently playing mine through the cassette deck for the digital sound. My question is; is there another way to listen to it digitally other than the cassette deck and other than the radio frequency? It seems that I heard of some one connecting it directly to the wiring of the stereo, but I am not sure. If anyone know's of this, or another way of connecting it, I sure would appreciate the info.
