I know that some dealers will mount them incorrectly. I was on a ride on Saturday and noticed one of the guys had his switched. If the radio antenna is connected to the cb cable and the cb antenna connected to the radio cable, will that cause reception issues with the cb? Here is what we experienced. We would be stopped at a stoplight and we could talk to each other just fine. We hit the highway and there was so much static couldn't make out what we were saying. It wasn't anything like passing over power lines or anything like that. We were next to each other for about 2 hours and it was like that the whole way.

As i was cleaning the bike today I pulled out a very small hose that is connected to the water pump but was not connected to anything on the other end. It's shown on page 5-14 of the manual connected to the pump is this a weep hole for the seal or should it be connected somewhere else. I just put it back down beside the frame where it was.

if you have the latest December 2011 MCN. Downtime files has my letter. Seems he does not have a "for sure" answer to my question. I did have an issue with #2 carb, which is now fixed. But that does not explain why all the NGK caps and spark plugs failed. He thought maybe oil got into the caps. FYI- No, that's not it. I truly believe NGK is now making junk(which I have stated before). And think about it. OEM caps are roughly $25-$40, NGK $4. So you get what you pay for in this case. I have a total of 6 or more bad spark plugs from NGK in the last 3 years resistor and non-resistor. Remember the spark plug is simply an extension of the wire connected to the engine's coil for spark to jump in a hostile environment. I NOW have changed the caps back to OEM(10k ohm) and spark plugs to Denso iridiums. Plus all my carbs set up on low speed screws at 2.5 ccw +/- a quarter turn connected to EGA . 13.6:1 at idle. And were not rich when tested on load. ...cheers:)

I bought a Street Magic load equalizer and set of 4 LED turn signals from a friend for my 2nd gen. The SM load equalizer has 4 wires; purple wire to left, brown wire to right, orange wire to positive, and black wire to negative. Everything works fine but when I turn on the CB and I turn on the left or right turn signal I get a lot of static over the speakers. The orange wire connected to the positive wire is connected to the blue tail light wire. I disconnected the orange wire and connected it straight to the positive battery post and the CB does the same thing. I took the black wire and connected it to the negative battery post and it does the same thing. I disconnected the Street Magic and of course my turn signals flash fast but the static is gone. If I get load equalizers off ebay I will need four. Does anyone know if I need 25 watt 60 ohms or do I need 50 watt 60 ohms or does it matter. Anybody have any ideas on either system??? Thanks, Harry

connected their gps to the AUX circuit and been able to add another device at the same time. We are listening to these devices called walk abouts which basically are books on tape in one unit. when we plug one into the circuit, (I have split the circuit) with the gps connected, nothing works. I thought others were also doing this. Was I wrong? Bob

I blew a fuse for my passing lights, so I had the cover off the fuse box. there is a fuse in there marked "back up fuse" Since I don't have any back up lights, I am wondering what that fuse is connected to. I have the fuse pulled right now and everything still seems to be working Bob

I purchased an 06 Venture a few months ago and it came with some LED lights in strip form. I connected 4 strips together and wired them to my trickle charger and all were working. I then put them on my bike, found a wire that was only hot when the key is on and wired them in. I connot get them to work. I even connected them directly to the battery and nothing. Why will they work on the charger and not off the bike?? Any and all help appreciated.

I can't seem to find how to convert a LED light bar to become a RUN and BRAKE light. I thought thee was a simple wire connection that you connected to the running lights and brake lights. Anyone know what I'm talking about. BTW, this is for my SUV.

My wife's cousin just bought a beautiful 1st gen Blondie (mkII) and we did a carb sync on it last night. When I went to attach the Carbtune, the vacuum hose rather than attaching directly to the #2 cyl was split and connected to both #1 & #2. On the other side, there was a piece of hose that connected #3 & #4 together. It surprised me a bit? We synced it up and then put it back as we found it. What effect, if any will this set up have on the operation? Should he put it back to stock? Curious! Dave

Well, the boys from Indiana came by Sunday and got the beast running. 93 Venture brought the schematics and a box of thigamajigs; Leadwolf brought Sue. Boo dropped by to give moral support and between all of them, they got it running. There wasn't much I could do (obviously) so I took to the grill and did what I'm good at. In no time flat they diagnosed the problem and set to fixin' it. Oh, I did have to hand 93 V a tool or two, but he did the lion's share of the work. Now, as I've stated, I'm no mechanic so I'm not certain I can explain the problem precisely, but it had something to do with a hidden treasure. 93V and Leadwolf kept talking about the "X". Wait, maybe it was a "+". I'm not familiar with all the jargon, but best as I can tell they said something like the wire with the "x" or "+" on it had to actually be connected to the battery for the bike to start. Seemed kind of petty to me, but hey, once they connected it the bike started so who am I to argue. Anyway, I'm grateful for the help and the suggestions from all. Thanks guys (and Sue), Moose
