Seems a lot of people seem to like the EBC FA179HH front and FA123 rear but 2 sites said HH did not go with our bike and recommended the FA179V semi sintered for our bike has anybody went with these still would probably go organic rear to help soften the lock up. Any input would be appreciated quite confused right now. Also spark plug $3 standard or $10 iridium have to pull the tank to install passing lamps so want all the parts to be ready for spring.

I have a 1996 Royal Star XVZ13 something. I cannot for the life of me figure out what bike I have.( XVZ13A/AC/AT/ATC/LT or a LTC. I have a service manual but I seem to be broken when it comes to reading the CODES or when to start or stop reading them. Under my seat above the little tool kit it reads... 4NK1-010 C Does the C stand for? Also confused as to why inbetween my VIN code it has a 2 inbetween the two parts. I guess I am actually trying to figure out if I have a California model. I can't seem to find any parts to make it California legal..thank goodness. I bought the bike used and am confused. Thank you all, and if more info is needed just let me know. Thanks All!!!

Who is in Winnipeg these days? I have a son moving out there at the end of the week to go to U of Man and is looking for a place to live, maybe a smiling face to meet him at the airport. He is going for his Masters in Physics. He gets it from his mother in case you wanted to know.

Hi. This is the first time I post on this forum. I need to know the part number for the bleed screw that bleed the carburator on a first gen 1983. I have one badly round off and cannot remove it at all. I would like to know if it's available before attempting something '' drastic'' to remove it! Thanks. Denis

I got my progressive springs yesterday, I am slightly confused when it comes to the fork oil level. First thing is to block the bike up so the front wheel is off the ground, then I need to fully compress the forks and measure to the top of the fork oil. I am sure there is an easy way of doing this but I am easily confused and this has got me. I do not have the bike apart yet, I just need to know what I am doing before I take it apart. Thanks everyone.

If there is, I'd like to ask for a little of your knowledge. Our son is just starting out airbrushing on motorcycle tanks, helmets, etc, and has asked for a couple of items for Christmas, but I'm a little confused and need your advice. Thanks, Deb

Why are there so many accidents? Check this video out from Springfield (where ever that is?) it will surprise you....but then again, maybe not. Scary stuff? http://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid1418565565?bctid=70368898001

I just bought a used 2005 RSTD (which I absolutely love), and am now learning how to perform all of the maintenance myself (which I am really enjoying). However I'm at the point where I want to change (flush/fill) my radiator coolant, but do not know specifically which brand of coolant to use on the cycle? I hear Yamacool is very expensive, yet others I believe use a low Silicate or Silicate free fluid made for aluminum engines that you can buy at a Honda or Toyota Auto Dealership, and yet others use something called GO5? I am so confused....??? I live in Grand Rapids, MI and it does get very cold/freeze here, so I can't use products that do not have antifreeze in them like "Wetwetter" or whatever it's called? Please help as to what brand I should be using and any insights on how to efficiently change would be most gratefully appreciated! Thank you! Respectfully, Jeff:fingers-crossed-emo

I see a lot of talk about how hard the Corbin seat is but I have not read anything about if it is comfortable or not. I'm a little confused I guess because if the Corbin is so hard why do you see so many Ventures with Corbin seats? I'm so confused.

I am going to remove my rear tire this weekend. Anything special I need to know on this? Any spring or other stuff will jump out at me and I won't know where it goes after it has jumped Once the tire is off, anything I should do? I think I have read somewhere to grease the spline and I saw different post on this that only confused me . How do I go about doing that? Any good "How To"? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Cheers

After some searching here I'm still a bit confused. I was investigating a small amount of fluid found under the bike today. It appears that I maybe am getting a bit from this valve located right under the Rad. It's not too bad of a leak and I've added a new o-ring to the need to get list, but I'm a bit confused ont he on/off markings. The manual picture isn't clear enough for me to tell what I'm supposed to be lining up. So I read on here about how it should drop into a detent. OK...I felt that. I have the OFF lined up at what I'd call 7 o'clock as I look at the valve. I let the bike idle for a while and the temp gage seems to be reading ok. is this the correct position for normal riding? Thanks everyone. 89 VR w/ 47K on her. bob

I am just a bit confused on the use of this cable. Is this strictly so one can make a phone call using a bluetooth phone? Or does it have another use? I don't have a bluetooth phone and was wondering if it would be of any use to me to get one of those cable. Thanks
