Hello Everyone: Despite being in the black hills during the Sturgis rally the past 5 or 6 years we have never attended a concert. Until last year we stayed in Custer and always did day rides. Last year we stayed in Sturgis but still did not attend any concerts. I noticed on the web that concerts ticket prices at the Full Throttle range from $45-$60. Bluffalo Chip $52.50-$62.50. But concert tickets at the Broken Spoke for non campers like ourselves are only $20 each. Does anyone have experience with concerts during the rally and can explain the large difference in cost between the Broken Spoke and the others. My wife wants to ride DaBus and attend an evening concert. Is that crazy? Any thoughts or experiences are welcome. Thanks

I spoke to them at the Biltmore and tickets for a group will be $36 a person. Not sure about the concert yet. They are calling me back in the morning to let me know if there are any tickets left and what the price would be. She's going on the assumption that we're all gonna want to go. I figured might get a good price that way. She did say it's been $20 more for the concert ticket. So if we can't get to the concert we'll find something else to do. 1rooster said he had something up his sleeve for friday night but won't tell me what. That price for the tickets alone is great the cost at the door is $47 and online is $42. I'll add to this thread when I get the call tomorrow. Thanks for your patience folks. Margaret

I posted this in another thread, but just in case someone missed it. At the Biltmore on friday they are having a concert. The musician is BB King. There's a combo ticket. Here's the way they price out. General Seat ($32) + Biltmore* ($42) = $74 Now $52 Reserved Seat ($37) + Biltmore* ($42) = $79 Now $57 Premium Seat ($47) + Biltmore* ($42) = $89 Now $67 Evidently they have a special now since they seem to have discounted their tickets. Or it has to do with the fact that folks just aren't going like before gas prices went up.Now if you'd like to go to the concert let me know so I can make sure you all get there. I only had one person ask about it so far. Figured maybe not everyone saw the original post in the biltmore thread. Margaret

Dkknight, daughter and I were in Las Vegas this weekend. Toby Keith gave the SRNCO conference 300 tickets to his concert there Satuarday night (loved the concert). We were staying at the South Point Hotel and Casino. First I saw a blue and black Venture and put a VentureRider card on it as I was leaving to go shopping. When I came back, lo and behold, there sat another Venture. But this one had a VentureRider sticker on it. I left a card and said hello and who are you. There was a name plate with their names and said Minnesota. I went to the room and told Tom about the MRSV. He said he thought it was "Kantornado". We went and had dinner. After we ate (had to eat like all VentureRiders food is important) we looked for Ron. We didn't find him. I was sad to miss the chance to meet him...maybe next time and we'll call first. The last Venture I saw was as we were leaving the hotel to head for Disneyland for the next leg of our trip. He pulled into the parking garage and I tried to talk to him but he seemed like he was in a hurry (and probably thought I was crazy). He worked at the bowling alley at the hotel/casino. I wonder if I'll see any Ventures here in CA.?

Sunday, July 07/'08 I was on my way, to a Steve Miller Band concert, when I encountered the parking lot that I-70 East bound lane had nearly become. I missed the concert, "by that much"!>>>>>>>>>>> Wednesday, My phone rings, it's Dorothy, my neighbor and good friends Ex - wife. Martin passed away this morning, His youngest daughter just left, she had been at the hospital, we had a cup of joe. We sat there and exchanged some emotional happenings, I expressed my regrets, for never having said I love you to my friend. I miss you, my brother Martin, your passing has left a void, that will be hard to fill. These past fifteen + years, we slowly learned a mutual, and unconditionally, loving respect, for one another. Thank you my brother, my friend. "Vaya con Dios, mi Amigo", Martin Our lives are but a brief passage in time, those we touch, as well as those who honor, us by touching our hearts in some manner, may have gone on but their memories will be inseparable in our hearts till he takes us home and reunites us once again!
