I have never been satisfied with the tail/turn/stop lights on my Harbor Freight trailer. I had changed the bulbs to LED's, but just not enough illumination, especially in the day-time. These were about $16.00 each at Wally-World. A bit of a challenge to mount, but I stuck with the measure twice, cut once rule. Well, I also cut the holes somewhat undersize then shaped them to fit the template I had made. Pretty much labor intensive, but I think the end result was worth the effort. I completed the install with wiring and connectors that I already had. I now have (additional) stronger lighting, located to be much more noticeable. I have some tidying up to do on the wiring, but it's basically completed. Pic 1- rough cut for left light (took a lot of patience and elbow grease to finish) Pic 2- some of the tools and "stuff" I used Pic 3- Hooked up with running lights and left turn signal on

Due to my work schedule I can never seem to get off work to attend "maintenace days", therefore this past weekend I relied on the forum and some general mechanical "know how" to do it myself. Most of the maintenance items are no big deal for most of you but a couple of things I completed was a personal accomplishment for me. The list of things completed: New tires front and back (E3's) mounted and balanced, brakes checked, engine oil and filter changed, rear hub and gears greased and oil changed. I would like to check my carbs and sync them and check/lub the steering head if need but goes beyond my comfort zone. Hopefully I can find some members close to central Arkansas that can help me with these things. I know I saved some $'s and I now feel less dependant on a dealer. Thanks to all who have posted pictures and descriptions it has been a HUGE HELP !!!!!!!!!!!

THIS WILL DRIVE YOU CRACKERS ! Go to the site, then click on the start button. A group of numerals from 1 to 33 will appear in red boxes. You don't need to click on the numbers, just move your cursor over them in order from 1 to 33 and as you correctly do so that numeral will disappear. See how fast you can get the task completed. This is a good practice to keep your brain sharp and your eye hand co-ordination crisp, or ...................................................... it could drive you mad! Enjoy!! HA! Note: REMEMBER, you don't have to "click" the mouse http://www.chezmaya.com/jeux/game33.htm

I'm watching Wild Hogs (again). It's an excellent movie that someone that hasn't completed a cross country motorcycle ride would not understand.

A good friend of mine, and a fellow venture rider as well, sent this to me today....and I really think that everyone who watches this will bring something away with them well before it is completed. gunk:smile5: http://wimp.com/watchingthis

Today the wife and I completed our first full marathon 26.2miles. I had a great split (13.1 miles) of 2 hrs and 10 minutes. Stacy at age 41 was right on my heals. She passed me and finished with a time of 4 hrs and 50 minutes. My time was....................well.............I finished before the course closed and I'll leave it at that.

This weekend will be my first entry into an organized Long Distance Rally. The Minnesota 1000 is run by Team Strange out of Leo's South in Lakeville, MN. The rally begins at 8:00 am Saturday and is completed at 8:00 am on Sunday. Of course, the Liar's Banquet is held Friday night and the awards ceremony is held after the completion, but it is a 24 hour ride. Website: http://www.teamstrange.com/ The basics of the rally are: 1) A list of bonus locations are provided at the Friday night Liar's Banquet. 2) Each bonus location has a point value assigned. 3) Each bonus will be located within about a 500 mile radius of Lakeville, give or take a hundred miles. 4) You determine your own route based on the bonus locations you think you can get and still return by 8:00 am Sunday. 5) Proof of reaching a bonus can vary - a picture (with a time stamp), purchase an article, copy down an inscription, etc. 6) He (or she) with the most 'captured' bonus points - assuming the ride was completed on time - wins. I believe there are also points for keeping a fuel log, a rest bonus (stay in one location for a minimum of 3 hours), and other various hijinks. The rolling couch (2000 Red RSV) has been ColorTuned, CarbTuned, all fluids changed, new plugs, new air cleaners, Dynabeads in the NEW Dunlop E3 rear (no tire issues this trip, please), splines lubed, pins lubed, new to me Corbin seat, washed, waxed, and new tunes installed on the Zumo. Will be adding a bicycle water bottle cage onto the handle bars later this afternoon. I take off tomorrow with the intention of getting to the hotel by early afternoon. This will give me time to set up the trip planning computer, lay out the maps, and take a nap before the banquet. Once the banquet has been completed, I will need to get my route laid out, plugged into the Zumo, and get some sleep. Just hoping to finish on time with a respectable point total. This should be a lot of fun. I will let y'all know how it goes. RR
