I am checking out various GPS units. The boss is not going to approve a $500.00 unit. I don't care about the MP3 or XM on the Garmin. I already have both. There appear to be several in the $250-$300 range. I have two questions - First - how are you wiring these? Are you just using the lighter adpater or battery for power or are you hard wiring them? Secondly, if I'm going to be using a GPS it will most likely be riding two up with my wife. We will have communicator using the factory plug. We also have MP3 player coming through the speakers. How do you manage to hear voice prompts from your GPS? Can you tap in to the communicator line? Are these loud enough so that you can hear them anyway? Thanks for any help!

Hey, all: I was wondering if anyone could help? I have a 2006 Venture and was wondering if I could plug only a CB mike into the 5-pin communicator outlet? I've seen Harleys and Hondas be able to do this but theirs is a 7 (or 8?) pin outlet? Also, if it can be done... any idea where to get one? I'm in Barrie, Ontario area. I tried "The Source" but no luck. My wife and I don't use the communicator outlets because I don't have them and if I did, I would have to buy new helmets as well. That expense isn't realistic right now. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Skunk
